The first cleaning did not go well. The cleaners left trash and crumbs from the toaster in our kitchen sink. There was a great deal of loose hair and dust in our bathroom, and our laundry room had not been mopped. I emailed the owner to express my concerns with this first clean, and I received no response to my email. When I emailed the second time, he responded back and let me know that he would come out personally to inspect our home for the second cleaning to ensure that there was not a repeat of the first cleaning. The second cleaning was much better but instead of things remaining at that level or improving, the service again started to decline in quality.
During the last three cleanings where we used this service, you could see footprints in our bathroom where the employees had walked on our floor while it was wet/damp and there was once again loose hair in our bathroom. In addition, if we walked on our bathroom floor, which is ceramic tile, with our shoes on, we would leave dirty footprints wherever we walked. It was DISGUSTING! I even had to clean my bathroom again after one of these cleanings because it did not seem clean to us, which was completely unacceptable and the last straw and one of many reasons, we are no longer using this service. The employees also began leaving loose trash (used paper towels, empty cleaning product containers) laying around our house again during the last few cleanings performed for us.
I cleaned my house last week for an upcoming party in our home, and I was horrified by my bathroom floor not to mention all of the dirt and dust picked up from other parts of my home. Our bathroom rugs had clearly not been moved in some time. There were distinctive lines outlining where they normally lay indicating that the employees of this company had been cleaning around them for quite a while.
After the inspection done by the owner at the second cleaning, he never stepped foot in our home again, and the quality of the cleanings definitely reflected his lack of oversight. This company does not deliver a quality service, and the value is very poor. I definitely do not recommend this service.
"This is a very alarming post and the FIRST I have heard of any of this. I have talked to the customer frequently and received an email on ONE occasion of certain things she wanted me to check before the employees left, per our policy. Here is the email left after that visit. "I noticed you were here today, and everything was much better. It even smelled clean when I walked in, which I was very pleased. Thank you for checking things over to ensure satisfaction. It was very much appreciated. Thank you, Member When the customer decided to discontinue service, this was the email I received Hi Brandon, My husband learned yesterday that his hours at his job will be cut starting in July. Therefore, we need to discontinue our cleaning service since this is a luxury expense for us. We are trying to limit our expenses to necessities at this point. I would like to have our key returned as soon as possible. Please let me know when it can be dropped off. I will be working from home next Tuesday afternoon so that may be the most convenient time to make contact. Thank you for providing our cleaning service these last several months. I appreciate your help. Thank you Member"
1. My initial call to the company went straight to a cell phone voice mail. I did not get a call back until the next day.
2. We agreed on a time for the owner to come out for the estimate. My husband came home 15 minutes before the agreed time, and the owner was walking out of our house. Apparently, my 18 year old son let him in. When my husband saw him coming out, they spoke and the owner assured us he would be calling with an estimate. So, he was very early for the appointment so we couldn't even tell him exactly what we wanted. This annoyed me, but I went on and waited for the estimate.
3. A week goes by and no call back.
4. We call after a week goes by, and again, it went straight to voice mail. We left a message asking that if he was not going to do the job, to at least call us back and let us know. That was 2 days ago.
This was bad from start to finish. I find it extremely annoying to call a service company and get a voice mail. It's unprofessional. Then, when he did show up, he was super early and we didn't even have a chance to tell him what we wanted. When my husband rolled up, he should have went BACK into our house to do the consultation, but he didn't. Then, after all that, he apparently decided he wasn't going to take the job without so much as a call back to let us know. And it's not like our basement is a wreck. It was a standard clean-up and clean-out. We were planning to spend several hundred dollars for this service, and now some other company will be getting our business. Even if we get a call back next week, we will decline the service and we will tell him exactly why. I thank the heavens for Angie's List so I could share this experience with others. Call someone else.
