Preventer's Chimney Co

Mr. Beverly & I had an agreement that he would do work for me in my home in trade for my 2001 PT Cruiser with 99,000 miles.  As I said above, he did strip wallpaper in my stairwell and upstairs hall and prime it.  He was also supposed to paint the stairwell & upstairs hall plus strip the kitchen wallpaper, patch those walls & paint them, repair the kitchen ceiling and stomp it, and remove all the old carpet in the dining room, entry & stairwell and upstairs hall.  He was pushy & obnoxious and wouldn't listen when I tried to talk with him.  He treated my house as if it were his home and never cleaned up anything and almost plugged up my kitchen sink washing his tools in it.  He took a hand
towel from off a towel bar in my bathroom and used it as a rag. He actually had the nerve to point out that he had brought a nice rag from
home, referring to my towel.  He had ripped the towel into at least 2 pieces.  He exaggerated his working hours although I know it couldn't
be true.  He claimed to have bought 8 gallons of Kilz at Lowe's but he wouldn't provide or even show me any receipts.  He supposedly ordered a chiimney cover for my chimney that was supposed to arrive by 2/22 or 2/23 but I have not received it.  I called him to inquire about
the chimney cover and he promised he would call me back on March 5 or 6 but he never has.  Today is March 9.  In my opinion, this man should not be allowed to work in either one of his businesses.  He is a liar and a cheat/thief.  There are other bad reviews out there about him.  Through his Preventer's Chimney Company, he is supposed to be licensed and bonded according to his business card.  I signed my
car over to him before he had done all the work, which was my mistake and I also wrote checks to him for materials inside the house plus
a check for the chimney cover.  He worked for me for 4 days.  He left a lot of work not done.  He even took the paint with him that he was going to paint the stairwell & upstairs hall with.  He had painted 2 areas of the upstairs hall with it.  He was providing the paint and it was left
over from a previous job of his.  That client had paid for the paint.  Nobody should hire this man to do anything for them.

It was like a nightmare and took over 2 weeks for him to get the parts. When a friend of mine made a suggestion of what he might do, he exploded in anger over the phone. He then arrived at my home, shouting in my face, but i had already been so frightened by his shouting on the phone that I had called 2 male friends to come over. He quieted down as soon as he saw them. He overcharged me, in my opinion,
