Signed contract in July and windows were installed within a couple of weeks, We were promised numerous dates for the roof and porch overhang to be done. We had to make numerous phone calls to John Rice (over 100) to get the job restarted. Porch overhang was done against Building Inspectors requirements. Porch overhang was a cheap aluminum awning instead of the wood framed overhang promised. Overhang blew off during mild winds several weeks later and did severe damaged to the house, barn and cars. Roof was supposed to be a complete tear off and replacement but instead John Rice subcontracted the roof job to three different substandard companies who installed new shingles over the old damaged roof. Resulting in the new roof blowing off at which time we had to hire a new contractor to redo the roof. John Rice has lied to us the finance company and the BBB telling them we the wind damage of to the porch overhang ourselves and to this date 10/10/09 we are still in dispute over the entire job.
Description of Work: New Roof, new front porch overhang, replace windows and doors.
