EJS Tree Service

I am older, living alone woman. I needed work done and EJS was in the area working and left a card. Aaron, their representative came and gave me an estimate. Original estimate was $6000.... Long story short it ended up costing me over $11,000. Aaron was a fast talker and convinced that I needed work done that didn't need to be done. Work that was done was terrible and incomplete. Trees were cut down and stumps removed but no top soil so grass didn't grow and it wasn't leveled out so I have mini hills in my yard with bare mulch. A NOT needed drainage system was put in however it wasn't placed deep enough so there is the black plastic tube that is deteriating already shows in my yard. I am embarrassed that I let this company and this person take advantage of an older woman. I have other landscapers give me n estimate to do the work at about a third of what I paid. Do not use this company unless you have other estimates!! My mistake. I feel like a fool.

This company rushed this project and left our yard a mess. Specifically, they left a huge oil stain on the road in front of my house. They also damaged another tree I did not ask be removed. I do not recommend this company.

I contracted to have trees trimmed and a couple taken down. They did a fine job of taking the trees down, however, don't ever ask them to trim trees as they don't know the meaning of trimming. They hacked a beautiful tree that will never be the same and others they barely touched. They only want to do lots of cutting they do not want to take time to trim a tree to make it look nice. Unfortunately in the case of my tree it will never be the same--makes me sick to look at it. On the positive side they did a good job of cleaning up afterward. If you want trees taken down I would recommend them. If you want trees trimmed don't use them.

Following initial contact, they came to our home, gave us an estimate. We agreed on the price and they removed the stump.

The work was done efficiently, EXCEPT we were promised that all wood would be cut into firewood, and then all debris and brush removed. We went ahead and paid after the trees were cut down and all but one tree had been cleared. That tree was never cut into firewood as promised and their workers left a mess in the backyard. The owner did come back and clean up, and then promised that someone else would come that weekend to remove the wood. No one ever came. My husband rented a log splitter and spent hours splitting as much wood as we could in 24 hours. The following Monday, he tried to follow up with the owner, who said he would call back and never did. After calling him over and over, he finally called back and again promised someone would come the next weekend. Again, no one came and we have never heard from the company again.
