Carmichael's Appliance Mattresses Service

Our Whirlpool Duet Sport front loader, which we've had a little over 5 years, finally stopped working. We'd been fighting the mold problem, which occurred even after following instructions to leave the door open and perform monthly bleach cycles, when the error codes couldn't be resolved. It was an expensive investment, promoted to save us money in the long run, but with the additional hot water cleanings and extra draining cycles, along with the mold, it wasn't worth it. So we started researching, only to become extremely disillusioned by the number of complaints about today's washing machines. Speed Queen had a lot of recommendations for its basic but sturdy construction, and I was at the point where I wanted a workhorse, not something flashy with options that I knew I wouldn't use. I called around and Carmichael's had them in stock so out we went. 
The store is just your basic local appliance store, very small, but they had a good selection. The salesman was very friendly, not pushy at all. There were 3 different models, and I chose the middle model. After finishing the sale, we walked back outside to the storage garage where the washing machine was located. As we were walking out, the salesman gave us a 25 pound box of free detergent to try. That was a pleasant surprise! And, considering that the salesman was an "older gentleman", it was a little shocking to realize that he was going to load the heavy washer into our truck. My husband helped with the dolly, but really, I was a little worried about the poor salesman.
We got home and hooked it up and we're very happy with it.
