We own a 2-story Victorian reproduction home that we chose to have painted in early Fall 2012. We contacted several companies for bids and eventually chose this company. The company owner is quite aggressive in selling and marketing the capability of his services. To be fair, our home had numerous window and siding repairs that needed to completed prior to painting. The positive experience was that the owner (Dave Jackson) employed a very good carpenter to assist with the process and did a good job with the prerequisite repairs. It took almost 2 and half weeks to complete repairs and painting. Again to be fair, there were some weather issues causing delay. Our biggest concern however is the overall quality of the finished product and ultimate (non) responsiveness of the owner. Following completion of the project we noticed several areas on the home that were not covered adequately or touched up even after we had called them to the owners attention. Mr. Jackson will stay in close contact regarding payments however getting a response or firm date for standing behind his work is next to impossible. We are resorting to effecting the touch ups ourselves however in the process of purchasing additional painting supplies were not surprised to learn from others in this field that this company and owners reputation proceeds him in terms of poor quality, pressure selling, and failure to deliver as promised. Our overall impression is that this company will promise the world and cut costs to the bare minimum to maximize profits. We definitely would not recommend their services to anyone in the future.

Update: we just spent an additional $600 for a professional painter to finish the imperfections that Mr. Jackson's service did not complete as promised. The professional we hired noted several additional areas that were not covered or lightly covered. Again a very poor service by this company that ended up costing us more just to bring the project to conclusion.

I was very pleased with the work. They were outstanding. They did a great job when they came in. They moved everything and took everything down. They covered everything. They painted everything and put everything back in place. They did a fantastic job cleaning up and their work looks great. Not to mention, they had an excellent price.

The pressure washing was done and the next day the prep and painting work began with a four man crew. The situation deteriorated when Dave fired two of his employees while they were on the job. The fired workers threatened to take equipment, so the other workers called the police to our house. The fired workers tried to pull me into their dispute with Dave, and I had to ask them to leave. The two remaining employees resumed work but after they left for the day I inspected their progress and found that their prep work had been insufficient in many areas, but they were painting right over it anyway. On their return the next day I showed them how easily the old paint was flaking away, taking the new paint with it. As they were scraping and re-painting the owner stopped by and told them not to spend too much time on the job ("this isn't a historical restoration", he told them). The end result would have been much better if the surfaces had been prepared properly in the first place.
