PERFECT!!!!!

Our dogs Buddy Buster and Radar love roaming our 10-acre farm. Unfortuantely, their hound noses often led them to off-limit areas, especially the road. After a near miss, we decided that their roaming days were over! After comparing the virtues of a wireless fence vs an wired underground fence, we decided on the wired version. Although going with DogWatch vs a and quot;do-it-yourself kitand quot; was 3-4x more expensive, we decided on DogWatch because of the: 1) quality of the product; 2) expert installation and 3) training for us and the dogs. It also didn't hurt that two neighbors used their services and gave rave reviews.
Kyle and Chandler were outstanding. They gave us an estimate within 48 hours of contacting them and provide a no-hidden cost estimate. They installed the fence and transmitter about 5 days after we placed the order. The programmable transmitter is in the garage and very easy to use. They showed us how to set the correction levels on the collars and then walked the dogs towards the flags. I was very nervous about electric and quot;shock therapyand quot; so I tested the shock on myself. At the highest level (7) i felt like a pinch. A mild shock is much better than being hit by a car!
Buddy was started are the and quot;tone onlyand quot; setting since he is nervous. Radar has an attitude so he was started at a 2. We walked them on a leash for about a week and then tested by letting them go off-leash. Radar had to be tuned up to 4 before he stopped running through. Buddy plateaued at a 3. At first they were quite indignant that they couldn't go where they pleased and Radar was quite the Drama Queen, even on the lowest setting. They have adapted well and know seem to know the boundaries.

I had recently moved to Dayton with an 8 year old Beagle from Arizona. The Beagle (male) was previously kept in a fenced back yard, but a fence was not an option at this home. The Beagle is extremely headstrong and spirited, and I was unsure as to whether an electric containment fence would work. I chose the Dogwatch FM - band fence over the other options due to my concerns about reliability and training. The Dogwatch staff patiently worked with me during installation and training, as well as during the two cases when my Beagle "jumped the fence" and ran (he was easily found and brought back). The Beagle has not crossed the fence in over a year, and I am very happy with the product. I would recommend this company without reservation.

WORK WENT VERY WELL. PROFESSIONAL, NEAT, QUICK INSTALLATION. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. I WILL UPDATE AFTER MORE TIME AS PASSED. TRAINING IS STILL IN PROGRESS FOR 3 DOGS.

We had contacted another company regarding a similar service and they were very slow to respond and the suggested appointment for estimate and explanation of their product was not available for several weeks. This company responded immediately and came within a few days. Then were prompt and very informative. The installation was done neatly and quickly and right on time..

Promptly responded to our request for an estimate. Flexible to work within our time frame. Fully explained the product, procedure and then followed through completely on everything we were told. Installed the fencing, trained us on how to train our dogs to make the fence effective, provided phone consultation and offered to come back out if we needed them. Did a clean, neat job. The fence is working very well, though we had to turn up the signal so our dogs would respond better and not breach the barrier.

The whole process was very easy. They do a great job explaining the different opptions and making you feel comfortable with the product. The instilation was very quick. Training was very helpfull and effective.

When I called DogWatch of Dayton, they answered right away and were able to schedule me for an estimate that same week. He also said he could install the fence the day of the estimate if I decided to go ahead. I did, so he went ahead and installed the fence. He was able to locate the old wire which just went around the back of the house and connected it to new wire that he laid around the front of the house. We talked about what boundaries I wanted Linus to have. When it was time to show Linus the fence, Chandler told me clearly what I needed to do to help Linus learn. He fitted Linus with a collar and lead and then took him out and showed him the flags and the boundaries. As he did this, he didn't drag Linus into the fence range, just let him naturally wander into it, then said "watch out" if Linus heard the beep. Chandler made it seem like it was the flags and the noise that were dangerous and that Linus needed to stay away from, instead of making me or the leash out to be the bad guy which I appreciated. It has been several months now and Linus has never left the yard. The best feature I think is that the collar itself has a blinking light that blinks once every 30 seconds normally, but if Linus has tested the field at all, it blinks twice. This lets me know if Linus is getting too brave. I now also have a dogwatch wireless indoor system that keeps Linus off the couches and chairs which is great!
