The workers were good. I meet the manager and he was good. He was professional and responsive. I would use them again.

Clint and Chris stand out among others as it relates to loving what they do. Their quote and communications were the most professional I've seen amongst their competitors. The work far exceeded my expectations. It was done on the date promised and without any mishaps. Very minor touch up on the edge where the driveway meets the paver walkway, but this was fixed easily and quickly. The finished product looks fantastic - so much so that 2 of my neighbors have not called on them to redo their driveways. I felt extremely comfortable putting this in their hands. They were a dream to work with and made the experience well worth it. Oh yeah, and they were the most competitively priced among the 5 quotes I received - but their interactions with me is what sealed the deal.

They did a horrible job. I would never use them again. They cracked the concrete pad by my garage. They did not level out the driveway.

Very well. All the personnel we dealt with, from the sales rep to the office staff to the installers, were very responsive and professional. They were proactive in contacting us with dates of install (which kept getting pushed back due rain). Showed up when they said they would and did a great job, we are very pleased.

The process from initial response, quoting, scheduling, to final paving was EXCELLENT. I give Brown Construction an A++. Here is my story of how things went with Brown Construction (1-800-asphalt). (1) INITIAL RESPONSE - I contacted Brown Construction and they had a full-time receptionist (not the owner with a cell phone, etc.) who picked up the phone immediately, so first off, they were easy to get hold of without having to wait hours to hear back from someone to schedule to see the driveway / parking lot for quoting the job. Some of the OTHER VENDORS (Not Brown) I talked to took hours, days, and weeks to get back with me to even setup an initial time to look at the driveway and give me a quote. I got a call the same day from the sales person / quoter at Brown Construction who scheduled a time to meet me the next day at the apartment building to view the driveway and parking lot. They based the time to meet me around my schedule. Because I work a 40 hour full time job, they scheduled to meet me at 12:15pm, at lunchtime, so I didn't have to take off extra work time. (2) DRIVEWAY REVIEW / QUOTE - When the sales person at Brown construction came out the next day and met me, I showed up at 12:15pm. The sales person/quoter had showed up a little early for the schedule and had already reviewed the driveway and he went over it with me when I showed up. Based on looking at the driveway / parking lot, he felt the driveway needed to be torn up because of the condition of it (potholes, etc) and the parking lot could be re-paved because it just had cracks and no major structural issues, so could be used for a nice hard surface to pave over. I felt they were very honest here because they could have just quoted me a tear-up and re-pave for the entire job, costing me a lot more money. He provided a quote from the computer in his truck so I got the quote immediately for $5,900. I also discussed the front easement between the road and sidewalk where tenants park (it was dirt, had not been paved by the city) and they threw that into the quote for NO additional cost as well. I was getting more for my money without additional COST! 3) SCHEDULING - The salesperson / quoter worked with trying to fit me in their schedule and I was surprised they could fit me in the schedule within 1-2 weeks because I had heard it sometimes takes longer. 4) PAVING JOB - I was present during the paving. They did an excellent job with the paving of the driveway and parking lot. They extended the amount of asphalt on the easement farther than I had expected. They got the tear-up and paving done in 1 day, allowing my tenants to drive on it the next day. Some vendors had indicated it would take 2 days, 1 day for tear-up and 1 day to pave. They had also indicated to notify tenants not to turn wheels while not moving the first 2 weeks to prevent "pockets" from forming which they didn't have to do. I was very happy with the work!

It was a pleasure to do business with Brown Construction. They offered the best price, completed the work in one morning, went the extra mile to meet our timing, and even paved over some of the existing driveway with leftover asphalt at no extra charge.
