Panache Salon & Day Spa

I have hair that is very long (below my shoulders), wavy, and tends to be fly-away. It had been a long time since the last trim and the ends were badly split. I called Panache and asked for an appointment with someone who would work with me to help find the best look for both my hair and my lifestyle (I am hopeless with hot rollers, curling irons, and blow driers). They recommended Carmen and set an appointment time. When I arrived at Panache, they greeted me by name and said Carmen would be right with me. A few minutes later Carmen introduced herself and took me back to her station. She spent some time listening to me; my frustrations with the condition of my hair, my lack of ability to style it, and concerns about cutting it. She suggested we work with small changes (I liked that idea) and set regular appointments, about every 6 weeks, to keep it shaped up. Carmen told me everything she was going to do and how it would effect the way my hair looked. She trimmed the split ends which took 3and quot; - 4and quot; off the length and tapered the hair. She washed and conditioned it to help with the dryness, then combed in a cream gel to get rid of the fly-away shorter pieces around my face. In order to preserve the curly waves I have, she used a diffuser on the blow dryer. While she was working with my hair, Carmen was explaining how I could manage this style at home. I was very pleased when she was finished; my hair not only looked and felt good, but the shine that had been missing for so long was back.
I have been using the salon products on my hair for the last several weeks. My hair is softer and more manageable than before. The new cut makes it look fuller and the straggly ends are gone. I am happier with the way my hair looks and feels.
