I needed my sprinkler system turned off so that I would not have to have the yearly purgings and testing done. I never use the sprinkler system. The system needs a last purgand. They said that now it can not be purged AFTER agreeing to do a final purge this fall. They used a lot of foul language on the phone with me such as "Do you F****** understand that?" and called my partner a foul-mouthed son of a B****.

This was the biggest headache I've ever experienced just for soil. When I called to order the topsoil I was told I needed to come in to their office to pay and they couldn't take payment over the phone, but when I got there a sign on the door said they were closed. Called the office and got no answer. I got the attention of an employee and found out that the lady in the office was there after all but they had the sign up due to COVID (huh?). When I paid I asked about giving instructions for where the soil should be dumped and was told I could tell the guy the next morning. Okay, no problem. The next morning she calls to tell me he is on his way with the dirt and when I try to tell her where I want it dropped she keeps interrupting me that their trucks can't leave the driveway. That's fine, I never asked them to. I wanted it dropped BESIDE my driveway, but their tires never needed to leave it. She passes the phone to the driver and as I'm explaining to him where I want it dropped, I hear the lady in the background loudly repeating to him that he better not leave the driveway. AGAIN, I never asked them to. When he got there, he got out of the truck and asked where I wanted it. I pointed to a spot next to the drive and told him if that was an issue he could drop it at another spot down the drive that had more room for a truck to maneuver. He said the first spot was fine and the dirt might get on the drive a little but specifically told me it would only be a foot or so into the drive and wouldn't prevent my car getting around it. Okay, fine. Then he drops it and the pile is right in the middle of my driveway, with no way whatsoever for me to get my car out. Then he waves and leaves. I had to pull my car into my yard to get my tractor out of the garage to spend the next hour moving the mess they left just so I could get my car out to go pick up medications. My gravel driveway is STILL a muddy mess, and we have been finding large pieces of glass (thankfully the edges were worn, not sharp) and large rocks within the soil. We ended up needing more dirt and called another local business to get another load. Amazingly, they were just fine taking a payment over the phone and had zero issue dropping the dirt beside the driveway. We won't be using Brunner's again.

Since April we have been complaining to Mike Brunner (owner) about all the problems with the lawn. • During the removal of the lawn too much top soil was removed (leaving the soil content being clay), the lawn was not graded after large ruts were left in soil from heavy equipment digging and removing boulders. Soil was very muddy. Numerous high and low areas were left on property. The lawn drained properly prior to this work. There are areas where there are numerous stones and grass will not grow. • Brunner Landscape has applied three applications of fertilizer and has applied weed killer twice this year. The whole lawn is full of weeds and the lawn is striped with light yellow-green and dark green areas caused by poor fertilizing or poor mixture of grass. I met with the owner, Mike Brunner. He says he felt the yard looked good. I brought up all areas of concern. I asked for top soil to be brought in for grading to remove high and low spots, stones raked and lawn reseeded. The new seed will not grow on clay and rocks, nor will it grow without covering the seed. He agrees there are some high and low areas but says he doesn't grade a yard after removing the old. He tore up the lawn to the point of needing to be raked and graded. He said he refuses to do any more other than spot seed without adding any soil and turned around and walked away from us. The complaint I have is that I paid in full for a new lawn which is under warranty and I am not satisfied with the results. The contract had to be paid in full (cash for a discount). I have a yard that is uneven, not draining properly, full of weeds and has light/dark patchy coloring and has numerous areas with stones where grass will not grow. Mike Brunner guaranteed the yard (per signed contract) and is not fulfilling his obligation.

The price was excellent.  The work done was adequate.  The beds did look great when they were done.  Weed blocker was applied before mulching, but I had to constantly weed the beds throughout the summer and early fall.  The perennials were not thriving well, and I did notify the company within the guarantee period.  However, I was told to just keep watering them (duh!).  I'm hoping they come back in the spring, but I'm not too confident.  They also removed one of my existing shrubs that I did not request to be removed.  I did plan to replace it eventually, but now there is an empty spot that will be there until I have it replaced this spring.  I also found the owner to be surly and brusque with me.  I do admit that I can be very particular with what I want, but I am always friendly and courteous.  I got the feeling that he didn't really want my business.  Had I not been in a hurry to have this done, I might have chosen to go with another company.

We had issues last year with them saying they would adjust some sprinkler heads for us when they were out turning on the system. They never adjusted the sprinkler heads they were supposed to adjust while they were here. This year they left the house with the sprinkler connection still leaking. Trying to make actual timed appointments with them for turning on the system is not possible.

They did a great job with the irrigation system installation. The crew was very professional and efficient. We had some issues with the sod installation but Mr. Brunner was great - he had no problem replacing the sod that did not take. TWICE in some spots and in the end the yard looks perfect now. I'm using them for my lawn applications going forward.

I called the office and left a message on their voice mail asking for a city back flow inspection (mandatory for all residents who have irrigation systems) and a estimate on a very small leak (drips 2-3 times a minute) from an outside water faucet. I figured since they were here doing the inspection they could give me an estimate of the leak. The next day or two they sent someone out (a person not certified to do the inspection) to fix the leak. I only wanted an estimate! They charged me $60 for a "service call" and $13. to fix the leak. I still haven't gotten the inspection for which is the only reason I called. I called the owner the next day and said there was a miscommunication and I only wanted an estimate. He was then rude and unwilling to change the service charge and would not negotiate in the slightest. The faucet brand new would only cost $15. I feel he took advantage of me and then threaten to put a" Mechanical lien" on my house  and charged me $2 more for a paper invoice. This company is so unprofessional. I would never suggest them for any types of service.

Do not use this horrible company - they are extremely unprofessional, rude, and downright creepy. One of the installers was peeping into my windows when he thought no one was home. The owner called me out of the blue and said he was on his way over to install a patio that I specifically told him personally I was not using them for (Thank God I didn't). The office looks a shambles with one of the most obnoxious and uncooperative office managers I have ever had the misfortune to work with. They sent me a bill that was higher than the price agreed upon. After my prompt payment - they say they "lost" the check and I had to get a stop payment. This company is a hot mess.

So far I have been really happy with them. Some things needed redone and they said they would come back. The work that was done, they did a good job on.
