NUMEROUS PROBLEMS INCLUDING IMPROPER INSTALLATION, POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP, AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIORS. THE CONTRACTOR DEMANDED ADVANCE PAYMENT DESPITE CONTRACT SPECIFYING WHEN PAYMENT DUE. THREATENED NOT TO PAY SUBCONTRACTORS AND PLACE A LIEN ON OUR HOME IF WE DID NOT PAY A ''DRAW'' (ADVANCE PAYMENT). ALSO THREATENED TO COME INTO OUR HOME AND REMOVE WORK COMPLETED. CONTRACTOR TERMINATED. CURRENTLY, ATTEMPTING TO RESOLVE THROUGH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. IF NOT RESOLVED THEN WE PLAN TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION. CONTRACTOR IS REFUSING TO PAY OVER $4500 DUE TO SUBCONTRACTOR FOR GRANITE AND HAS NOT PAID 3 OTHER SUBCONTRACTORS AT THIS TIME. IT HAS COST US AN ADDITIONAL $2600 TO GET THE WORK DONE CORRECTLY AND WE ARE NOT FINISHED YET.
Description of Work: HIRED TO REMODEL KITCHEN. JOB TO INCLUDE REMOVAL OF EXISTING CABINETS, FLOOR AND APPLIANCES. NEW CABINETS, LIGHTING, APPLIANCE AND COUNTER TOPS TO BE INSTALLED.
