Shaner Construction

Description of Work: Living room, Bathroom, and Kitchen Likes The Shaner Construction company came out and measured the dimensions of each of the rooms to be worked on. The Shaners(Bobby,Harry, Gary, and Son Paul) made up lists of items we were to buy prior to each job. The Shaners removed previous drywall, install new wiring, install new drywall,mud, tape,and paint new dry wall. The Shaners installed new shower doors, and light fixtures. The Shaners installed new subfloor and installed new linoleum. The Shaners have installed several windows and 2 screen doors. Dislikes 1. Doing damage to excellent existing front porch ceiling. One or two of the Shaners had set down on our front porch swing. Since the weight of the one or two of the Shaners was too heavy for the swing, it broke from one of the chains and broke off some of the wood from our porch ceiling as a result. We were never apologized to about the porch nor were offered services to repair it for free since they had damaged the porch. 2. The plumbing to the upper shower does not produce hot water. I told Bbbby Shaner about the hot water. His reponse was "That's about as hot as it gets." Our previous shower had much more warmer water. 3.The Shaners had hired a sub contractor called Kenny-We were never given a list of his qualifications-He was just introduced a as Kenny and he will be doing some of our work.He was asked to put new wiring in the walls. The problem is that when it came time to originally paint where the holes in the wall were to be filled up and painted over, his first response was "Uncle Bobby can do it." It took several calls or texts to get him back ot our house. To boot, He had asked for $150 to put new wood frames and flexiglass windows in our attic. My wife had paid him $700 and he ran off without telling without telling me when he would return. Thank goodness, I kept call him to come back to finish the work, He was not careful at all of our beautiful, varnished floors. He moved out dresser to install some wiring and scraped off varnish off of our bedroom floor. 4. Final finish of dining room-Looked better than how it did before. Howvever, who cuts the drywall too short,so when the furnace register is put back on, you can see a hole in the wall? Who hammers a nail into baseboard trim on a finished wall and drives a nail hole in the wall? 5. Finally-The unprofessional behavior such as major swearing and use of vulgar language. 6. They knocked down our China cabinet. They broke some dishes and chipped our wedding dishes.
