The work was ok, but getting him to show up and do the work became a full time job. Drug on for months. After asking him about an additional bill for $4000, he told us we disrespected him by questioning him and that's why he stopped showing up. Then he told me I didn't understand because I have a female brain. Even after that, we just wanted it finished so we could get on with our lives, nope. He promised to finished the job, showed up to get a check (which put us negative for the work still not done) then left, never showed again. He called 6am Christmas Eve morning, yes you read that right, and quit. We did manage to get another contractor, who was wonderful, and get the job done quickly so all worked out for us, but this man is a nightmare, so beware!

Replaced roof. We received an oral estimate of $ 6100 and knew we might expect other expenses once the old roofing was removed. The final bill was just under $ 9000. My only gripe is that the final bill came as a shocker and we weren't notofoed during replacement about how much the final bill would be. We have used LICO in the past and they do a fine quality job but I will insist in the future to be kept current on unexpected cost overruns as any major repair progresses.

Due to gas leaks, gas company had replaced gas pipe line underneath road, and mentioned that it was only a matter of time before gas line from road to house would also need to be replaced(50+ years old).  Smelled gas a few weeks ago, turned out to be meter fittings, but decided to go ahead and get old gas line replaced.  
Called LICO's owner, verified certifications.  Gave estimate of distance from road to house, and got estimate of cost of basic job of replacing pipe(inserting plastic pipe into old iron pipe).  Estimate was $900.  Understood that work with meter(fittings) and inspection/fix of inside work would be extra.
 Crew of 3 early on Tuesday morning(trying to beat predicted rain).  Had to dig by road and by house.  Had to troubleshoot, and was able to put in pipe with a straight shot, used risers/bracket, meter set.  No work needed inside house.  Had two remove two small stumps that were in the way.  Despite the troubleshooting and other little extras, bill came to the estimate of $900.
 Clean-up pretty good.  Dirt around hole is high, but will settle.   And I will be reseeding/adding straw.
Overall, very happy with quick response and quality of work.  Also relieved that possible future problems with failure of a very old gas line is now eliminated.
