Too expensive - very unprofessional

"We apologize that you feel this way, even after you agreed to the price given before we came out to your house. There was a federal code that came out 4 yrs ago stating "we cannot clean any wood burning inset or wood burning stove that do not have a liner". So instead of charging you a cleaning we charged you a much cheaper inspection fee that you then refused to pay, and our corporate office said do not worry about the charge. Please be safe and hopefully you're not burning (may cause house fire and insurance company will not cover)."

I found Chimney Cricket via Home Advisor and hired them for the job I was asking about. I own several rental properties. Since then, I have hired them for a few other jobs as well. Their regional team was friendly and responsive to work with. My local service representative (Don) was equally easy to work with. All of these jobs were completed to my satisfaction. On the first job, there was an issue with craftsmanship as happens from time to time. However, when I contacted Chimney Cricket about the issue, they fixed it right away with no issues or extra costs. I currently have several other quotes from them that I will have them do over time. In short... I would recomend them to anyone who needs masonry and related work (they do a lot more than just bricks and mortar!).

The technician was friendly and efficient. There could be more coordination between the people that set the appointments as I was called twice to set up an appointment by two different people. The second person to call wanted to dispute the validity of my appointment that was set by the first person because "he was only part-time". Slightly unprofessional. But overall, I would use this company again and recommend them to anyone.
