I don't know all the behind the scene activities associated with the closing of a residential property.  What I do know is that we had a preliminary meeting with Jim Monjot of Haverfield Title, and a final one to actually sign the papers and close on the property sale.  Everything went extremely smoothly with no issues or delays of any kind.  In fact, Jim even remained at the office a few minutes after their usual closing time so we could come down and sign the final paperwork, instead of having to wait till the next business day!  After all the paperwork was processed and recorded, we received our final papers in the mail.  In short, Haverfield Title did a great job.  Closing on the sale of our condo could not have been any easier.

Jim Monjot is a real estate attorney with Haverfield Title Agency. Both the purchase and sale of this property were handled without the services of real estate agents. In both cases, Jim provided all the necessary title, escrow, and closing services to complete the property transfers. Jim is extremely easy to work with and knows the business well. His explanations of various forms and line items associated with the closing were easy to understand. His rates are quite reasonable (price above included $400. title exam, $175. document prep, $395. closing fee, courier and wire fees). His flexible hours made it easy for me to meet with him at my convenience. I would recommend his to others who are working without real estate agents and those who do not need a corporate executive office setting to sign documents.

Jim was pushy, rude, inappropriate and couldn't stop talking about himself and his Rocky River 'boy's club' friends through the whole process. His fees were higher than other title agencies in the area, but he tried to tell us that we got a break because of his buddy, the seller. His documents did not reflect the correct numbers when we got there to sign and he seemed to be computer illiterate, causing the process to take much longer than it should have.

HAVE RECOMMENDED AND WILL RECOMMEND JIM TO OTHERS TO HANDLE THE SALE OF THEIR HOME. HE MADE THE ENTIRE PROCESS EASY, AND WORKED WELL WITH MY ELDERLY MOTHER AND OUR FAMILY TO SELL OUR MOTHER'S HOME.
