Trim and Beyond LLC

Started out great. Jarrod was enthusiastic, professional, and eager to get the job done. He does good quality work but where he fails is in problem solving when things start to go wrong and professionalism in reviewing changes that need to be made along the way with the owner. I'm not a contractor, but if I were, and I saw that the toilet drain was 16 in. away from the wall when the standard is 12. I would review this with owner and move it to proper length before doing anything else. I'd review this as well as any addition costs needed to do it right. Jarrod, did not do this, he simply put it back right where it was and now I have a toilet literally sitting in the middle of a small bathroom. Before the shower it must have not been noticeable or a problem. But now that the new shower is installed it is way to close to shower and way to far way from wall. The show took over 2 weeks to come in and then when it did apparently it was the wrong size that he framed for. Again, Jarrod did not review any of this with me. He simply, shimmed pieces of wood to accommodate the wrong sized shower, and then even cut the trim pieces with a hack saw leaving the rough edges exposed. So now, the sliding shower door does not open fully. The shower was to be 42" and it is only 38" so, he basically made a 42in. door fit his 38in. rough opening. Leaving, a smaller open area to get into the shower. 4in. That is a big deal being in such a small space. And remember, the toilet is right in the way as well. So, I Paid Trim and Beyond over $4,000 for a shower I can barely fit into, and a toilet that Is sitting way to far away from wall. Reason I am so frustrated with Jarrod and his company is because this is literally the first time I ever hired someone to do a project. I normally do them myself. But due to moving in to this new house and time, I thought I give him a try since he got good referral from the previous owner. Jarrod NEVER discussed any of these problems or asked for my input. He simply kept saying everything is going fine. Where he should have stopped ask me what to do and then proceed in a manner to do the job right, not just to get it done. When discussing these problems after the job was complete. Jarrod initially was very receptive and accepting that changes need and can be made. He even stated he will do them at no cost. I was thinking everything would turn out fine. Then he stopped all communications with me. And to this day he has not even bothered to return my multiple phone calls to try to resolve the problem. So, if you Hire Trim and Beyond LLC. - or Jarrod Pierce - DO NOT PAY HIM 100% of job until you have fully checked and approved everything. Because if there is a problem. He will not return.
