JR AND SONS QUALITY HOME IMPROVEMENTS

I wasted the whole evening waiting for people who never showed up. There was no call either to let us know why they were not coming!

Don was very responsive and personable. He came out on a Friday evening to provide the estimate for replacing existing 16 x12 wood platform deck. I told him that I wanted to replace the deck my husband built with a new better looking wood platform deck of the same size with a wrap around step. Specifically stating that I wanted to keep the deck low and open with no rails. He told me that it is "too hard" to get decks to pass code without rails. I researched it and a deck the height that ours would have been would not require rails to "pass code."He then proceeded to price the deck with expensive cedar railings which I did not want. He also quoted me a price of $4980 for a 16 X 12 stamped patio. This price also was a bit higher than what other companies quoted. He also stated that his company does not usually build decks and that they do it in the hopes that customers will call for bigger projects in the future. He was nice but unable to provide what I wanted.
