Maintenance contract was very reasonable. Lawn looked fantastic this year. Previously using home center products myself I constantly struggled to control weeds. Portage Turf did a great job keeping my lawn looking great by customizing treatment to my soil and conditions. Overseeding has not been overly successful, but we had some overnight freeze temps within 14 days of seeding that may have been a factor, not something I feel the company did wrong. Overall very satisfied.

It went terrible.  I called to complain and when Brian (manager, maybe owner) showed up he offered almost nothing to resolve the problem.  His demeanor was that he just didn't give a hoot in H*** about my yard and inferred that I was being too particular.  Brian offered to take fifty ($50) dollars off the bill or make the necessary turf repairs.  I told him there was at least a couple of hundred dollars damage to the yard but he strongly disagreed.  His repeated emphasis to me was how great his new aeration machine is and how great the lawn will look next spring. I declined the $50 discount and insisted on the turf repairs. 
Another person (a pleasant fellow) showed up the next day with a bucket of grass seed and no straw, I told him he'd be feeding the birds rather than actually repairing the damaged areas.  That was two weeks ago with three good rains and alll the damaged areas are still bare dirt.  And nothing has sprouted on the the difficult lawn areas and that's absolutely no surprise to me.
Having already spent $350 earlier in the year with Portage Turf for three fertilizer and weed control treatments and now another $459 I've invested $809 in our yard in 2015 and it looks worse than what we began with.  The only conclusions I can come to is that Portage Turf's new fangled aeration machine is ill-suited for residential lawns and our yard is an experiment gone awry.
I gave Brian an opportunity to resolve his problem and he chose not to do so, WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT.
