"Member carpet was filthy black,our tech did a test area, The Member was pleased and said to continue. 4.5 hrs later on what should have been a 2 hr job ($138.00) Member refused to pay. Our tech called, I told him to leave and I told Member I would stop out the next day (Sunday). I was prepared to do what ever was necessary to solve this problem, when I arrived the Member was very agressive, rude and confrontational; i determined that the tech had done a good job. Realizing that we were not going to be able to agree on the time of day, I told her that if she would hire another professional carpet cleaner to reclean her carpet and show me the invoice,she would not here from me again. A couple of days later I called her and ask if I could come out look at the carpet and see the invoice. She said that I threaten her when I was there and she did not have to show me anything. I figured now that she was a con, and I better bring a police officer back with me. She told the police officer that her nephew recleaned the carpet and there was no invoice. The officer told me it was a civil matter; I told him that I would not pursue this any further, and I believe thatthe Member got away with theft of services. We have an A+ rating with the gold star award from the BBB, and we had an A rating with Angie's list. We have been in business since 1994; this is the first time that someone has refused to pay, though she did let us clean her carpet for 4.5 hrs."
