Dropped a mower deck off on August 20, 2022 at Voss Brothers in Sunbury Ohio for a simple weld and to have spindles removed with strict instructions not to remove other pulleys or idler arm, morning drop off. Called up in the evening asked if deck was ready yet the one man service guy said, "who told you it will be ready", I said "no one I was just checking since I dropped it off early morning", he replied again "who told you it will be ready, it won't be ready for at least two days', his tone was that of angry man, he was like lecturing me that I had no business in calling to check on my own mower deck. Two days latter I get a call the person did not identify himself or the company he was with he just said two words in the same hostile tone, "it's ready". I went to pick it up and the pulleys and idler arm were removed the ones I told his associate not to remove. I never dealt with the service guy when I was there it was someone else who worked the same area. I asked him why was the pulleys and idler arm removed when I told you not to remove them, his reply "I don't know why he removed them I remember you telling me that". I complained and told him about the conversation with the service tech. I demanded the pulleys to be put on exactly as they were. I went inside and complained again to an older guy told him the whole story, his reply, " I don't know anything about that". Latter that day on August 23, 2022 Voss Bros Sunbury Ohio location calls again, same call and tone, "it's ready". I get there the pulleys and idler arm was completely on backwards, the working pulleys now frozen, none of the bolts they removed that I told them not to were the same or compatible. At this point I just want to get out of there so I went up front to pay the bill and to my surprise for this simple weld and to have the spindles removed and all their mistakes it came to 162.00, 10 minutes of work if that. I paid it got the h*** out of there and now writing this review to warn others before they purchase a new mower from them or bringing an older one for repair as in either case I would not trust this outfit as far as I could throw them.

Lance was both professional and knowledgeable. I have worked with Voss Brothers and Lance several times before, so this did not surprise me. However, the automated lawn mower requires a complicated wiring system be installed first, and Lance did this perfectly. Except for the few small issues that were easily resolved (mower gets stuck on branch) it has worked very well. Indeed, it cuts the lawn much better than I can with the zero radius mower I have AND it of course makes no skid marks, which is important with all the rain we have had

When the service people at Voss notified me that my mower deck was bent, I was under the impression that they were replacing the deck because I was told that I had to wait for parts.  Then when they called me to give me the price I was told they fixed the deck.  I was weary of this and asked them to make sure that it mowed properly before bringing it back, they assured me that they tested it and it mowed fine.  This was a lie!!!  If they had mowed with it they would have known that it wasn't fixed properly.  Instead they returned it in non-mowing shape on a Friday (7/24/2015).  I tried to mow with it that week-end and to my surprise it still made a terrible noise and wouldn't mow properly.  Upon talking to the service manager, Jeff, I basically realize they are screwing me over.  Jeff was suppose to call me back last week with a resolution, but never did.  I'm out $500 and my mower still doesn't work.  I'll have to take it elsewhere to be fixed, and in the meantime it costs me $250 - $300 every week to have my yard mowed. 

I called Voss Brothers when my lawn mower started leaking oil. They told me they would pick up the mower in 7 to 10 days and it would take 3 days to fix the mower once Voss picked it up. They further told me they would call me before they did any work to tell me what was wrong and how much it would cost. When they finally picked up my lawn mower, they never called me. I called twice to find out what was the status, and they told me after three weeks that they would "expedite" my mower. 28 days after I first called Voss Brothers, I got a call saying my mower was done and the cost was $483. I will never use Voss Brothers again. They did not call before they did the work. They did not keep to the timetable they promised. They did not provide anything in writing telling me what work was done.

I have used them for two years. They have always been very good, knowledgeable and fair. There is a belt that was wearing out along with some other issues. They took the mower about two weeks ago and I have to yet receive it. They sent me literature with respect to the prices for their services. They look the whole system over before sending it back to me. They are timely and friendly. They came out when they said they would. They also pick the mower and bring it back which is nice. The price is pretty fair and I like their service.

They delivered a tiller and sod cutter to me for a 24 hour period. They recommended the right equyipment for the job. They were very helpful and they showed me how to use the equipment. Their price was very reasonable.

It is a family owned business that sells many brand name mowers and services everything, too. We've had excellent service with them. They offer low pressure sales and answer a lot of questions. We didn't know exactly what the different products were so they gave us a lot of information. They service everything on site and that department is great. They have been there for years and the sale was very comfortable. I also thought the price was good.

They pick up and deliver. A little expensive, but good quality work.

The mower would not start when I got it home, and it was returned twice. I suspect it just wanted to "stay and play" with the other mowers, as they were unable to find anything, did not charge me for additional work (which I know they did), and I have not had further problems with it this year. They were very patient with me!

Jon was great. Although he was very busy, he spent a long time with me showing me my options, answering questions, teaching me how to operate the machine and letting me test-drive. He's got a lot of knowledgeable people at the shop. They offer lots of servicing packages like coming to my house to replace mower blades or offering a "winterize" package in fall where they pick up and service the machine for storage. His guys are always accommodating when I run into a problem, they find a way to squeeze me into the schedule and get me back in business.

Ran over something in the yard and the blade needed change. They were able to change the blade in less than 10 minutes. Very happy with the service.

I had accidentally run over a piece of rebar while mowing (push mower), needless to say my blades got chewed up pretty badly. When I couldn't get the blades off myself to take them in to be replaced, I called Voss and asked if I could bring in the mower for some help. The guy I spoke with told me to come in ASAP, so I headed over right after I hung up. When I got there, the person I spoke with (not sure if same guy on the phone) told me I couldn't have it done while I waited...and then immediately changed his mind, took me back to the service area, and swapped out the blades within 10 minutes. I was on my way and able to mow the same night!

They did a good job on the tune up with fast turn around. They answered my questions very easily. My only advice would be to take your mower in early to get fastest turn around.

The blades on my lawn mower worked very well... just like new. Voss Brothers has always been a reliable, professional company that I would highly recommend. Their products are a bit on the pricey side, because they are high quality and reliable. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

After waiting two weeks to have a push mower blade installed when their estimate was one week; I received a bill with a $30.00 shop charge on it. This charge was not disclosed to me, I thought the bill would be for the $18.83 that I was told was the cost of the new blade. When I questioned the charge the representative said there is a $30 shop fee charge and I said If this had been disclosed to me I never would have had the service. He said to talk to Jim when I asked to speak to someone who could reduce the charge. I have called Jim three times this week and have yet to hear back. When I followed up on 4/21/6 the rep I spoke to was rude and misquoted the shop fee at $20....

THEY TOOK A LONG TIME TO FIX MY LAWN MOWER, BUT THEY DID A GOOD JOB, IT IS WORKING WELL NOW.

VERY POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. IT TOOK ABOUT A WEEK TO COMPLETE. ALTHOUGH A LITTLE PRICEY THEY DID A GOOD JOB PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER.

THEY SEEMED TO STAY WITHIN THEIR ESTIMATE.

I GET IT DONE IN THE FALL WHEN THEY HAVE A LITTLE PRICE BREAK. THEIR PICKUP AND DELIVERY CHARGE IS BUILT INTO THE COST.

WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND IT WAS READY IN A WEEK! I STARTED IT UP AND IT SEEMED FINE AND READY TO GO FOR THE NEXT SEASON.

THEY PICKED UP THE MOWER AND TOOK IT TO THEIR PLACE AND BROUGHT IT BACK FOR $65. THE BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND WE TOLD THEM THAT WHEN WE CALLED THEM, BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE AN ASSORTMENT OF BELTS WHEN THEY CAME. WE THOUGHT THE COST OF THE BELT PLUS THE LABOR WAS PLENTY OF MONEY AND THE COST FOR PICK UP AND DELIVERY WAS A LOT.

WHEN WE PURCHASED THE MOWER THEY TOLD US THEY OFFERED FREE PICK-UP AND DELIVERY WITH SERVICE. NOW THEY SAY THEY DONT, THAT ITS ONLY FOR RIDING EQUIPMENT. AFTER A MONTH OF NO WORD FROM THEM, WE CALLED AND TEHY SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK. THREE WEEKS LATER WE HAD TO CALL AGAIN. WE HAD TO BORROW A PICK UP TRUCK TO PICK IT UP. THEY DIDNT RETURN OUR PHONE CALLS. QUALITY OF THE WORK IS FINE. THEY HAVE BIG COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS.
