Very prompt. Pre sold sale price and booked delivery for same day as sale so we had right away.

After a lot of online and in-store research, as well as word-of-mouth research, we chose Recreations Outlet in Powell, Ohio for our children's first outdoor play set. Anthony, the store sales-manager, was extremely knowledgable and helpful. We did not feel pressured at all. The quality of their showroom is exceptional. There is nothing else like it in the Columbus-area. Our kids enjoyed the visit there while we selected our play-set. Comparing their product offerings to other and quot;big-boxand quot; store play sets, Recreations Outlet truly has a better product and value. Within two weeks of our purchase, our new play set was installed by their installation team. They did a superior job and I certainly would never entertain doing this type of job myself. Our children LOVE their new playset and we are now members at the Recreations Outlet play-area. While the products they offer are slightly more expensive, we feel that you certainly get what you pay for when it comes to your children's safety (not to mention a fixture that you have to look at in your back yard every day!).

Very frustrating and displeasurable

I don't know. We just ordered a basketball hoop and they called and came and put it in and that was the end of it. So it was fine. I don't really know what to compare it to. I don't really buy that stuff much.

We bought a new Rainbow playset in November of 2010 when we moved to our new house.
In August of 2011, we had a backyard party and the climbing wall broke and became unusable. When I inspected the climbing wall, I noticed the screws holding the wood into the beams basically snapped off right below the head. Some screws were still OK and holding strong but more than 1 screw rusted and snapped.
We attended a birthday party at the Recreations Outlet facility in September of 2011 and I mentioned this issue to someone at the front desk and they told me the don't sell Rainbow Equipment anymore and I'd have to contact Rainbow.
After some deliberation, we just removed the two boards that snapped off and didn't call Rainbow. Then on 5/12/2012, we had another party and someone fell off the top of the climbing wall because yet another board snapped because of the same problem -- rusted out screws.
So I called Recreations again to let them know that I think the climbing wall incidents were because the installation crew used the wrong screws on some of the boards. The boards still remaining on the playset are solid and must have the appropriate screws in them because the heads are still very much shiny and silver while these others are completely rusted out.
The folks at Recreations told me again to call Rainbow to see about getting the wood replaced. I explained that I didn't think it was a wood problem but rather an installation problem. The employee told me that she'd have to charge me $88 to come out and take a look. She also told me that there is a service fee attached since it's been in the yard for 2 years.
It hasn't been two years, it's been 18 months. And the original problem started after just 9 months.

They did a good job. They were up front with cost and how to do it.

We purchased a Rainbow Playset because they were no longer going to be selling the Rainbow product. We got an incredible price. We were told it was all Rainbow and it was new. Upon building the set they discovered they did not have all the parts to build it. Then They constructed a part right there in my backyard. Later I noticed the swingbeam was not a Rainbow swingbeam but a Woodplay one yet they slapped a rainbow sign on it. Basically they sold me something that they really didn't have, that now had a voided warrenty. I thought I was purchasing a new Rainbow set and got a piece mealed product. We expressed our concern that they were committing fraud or at least disceptive practice. The manager at the Powell site was willing to work with us. The owner Pete did not agree. It took one month before a resolution was reached. They finally did bring us a Rainbow Swingbeam, but only because we threatened to sue. Totally dishonest!!! If you want a rainbow swingset go to Dayton Billiard in Dayton.

We made the purchase in early March, hoping to beat the spring rush. We were given an installation date of early April. The day the installation was scheduled, the men came and started with the project. When they were half-way done, they informed me that the "warehouse" had sent the wrong parts--lots of wrong parts. So they only put up half of the swingset and assured me that they would get the rest of the parts in the following week. I was very patient and agreed. The next week came and I called to check on the status and was told that they weren't sure if the parts would be there, but they would call me by COB Friday to let me know. No one every called. The following Tuesday I called again and spoke with the salesman. He checked on it, told me that all of the parts were in, and that they would be here by Friday COB to finish the installation. Not only did they not show up, they also never even bothered to call and tell me they weren't coming. I called again this week (3 full weeks after the scheduled installation) and was told that they didn't know if the parts were in and they would check and call me right back. I have been waiting the better part of the day, and again, no phone call. We spent a lot of money and have half of a swingset.

Horrible, see above. The entire faulty install could have been prevented if the guys would have used a simple right angle device found at any Home Depot to make sure that the base which is set in concrete is in its proper position so that the backboard will be parallel to the driveway. I was very disappointed in the carelessness of the install and then the poor customer service in getting the situation remedied. The hoop is not right, but good enough. But not good enough to pay the full price of $2266 for. Every time I look at that hoop, I am reminded of the horrible experience I had with this company.

Purchased basketball hoop and accessories in the store--the salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable. We custom ordered the color to match our house--which took longer than anticipated. They came on one day to install the anchor--and returned a week or so later, with the hoop.

A neighbor was selling a play system that had been purchased from Recreation Outlet several years ago. We purchased it but had no way to move it - it was a very large ''King Kong'' system. Recreations Outlet moved the swingset for us and even replaced a piece of wood that was rotten for no extra charge. It was expensive, but I feel it was worth it because I now know that the set is stable and safe for my kids to play on. The Rainbow Systems are extremely high quality and will give us years of fun. I've also been to the showroom to let my kids play and it is a great place to go on a cold or rainy day, though they now charge a fee, except for MWF mornings from 9-11 AM.

We stopped in to Recreations Outlet looking for a specific child-safe playground plastic border for our backyard playset. They suggested an even better alternative rubber 5 foot "railroad tie" that interlocks and has channels for pegging into the ground. They special ordered the ties for us, and we had them two days later. Recreations Outlet also allows your child to test-drive STEP2 toys and Rainbow playsets in their huge indoor show-room (we have purchased several STEP2 items from them recently too). Very kid-friendly. Very knowledgeable about safety products for childrens' playsets. After installation we found we had over-ordered one tie too many. Recreations Outlet took the tie back and gave us a full refund for it. Great customer service!

LORI WAS SO GREAT TO WORK WITH. SHE IS VERY ACCESSIBLE AND WILLING TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. INSTALLATION WAS ALRIGHT. THE MEN WHO DELIVERED IT WERE NOT SURE IT WOULD FIT IN OUR YARD AND GAVE ME A HARD TIME AT 6PM ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. THEY WERE LATE DUE TO A PART NOT ARRIVING FROM CINCINNATI. THE NIGHT BEFORE MY SON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY (THIS WAS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT AND WE PURCHASED AND SCHEDULED INSTALLATION TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE). ONCE MY HUSBAND RETURNED HOME THEY WERE MORE ACCOMODATING. I DIDN'T APPRECIATE THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS ME, BUT THEY DID WORK HARD AND INSTALLED IT. IT WAS DARK WHEN THEY LEFT.

THE ROOM ALSO HAS AN ADJACENT KITCHEN WITH A REFRIGERATOR, MICROWAVE, AND SINK FOR PARTY PREPARATIONS. OUTLET STAFF HAD BEEN BUSY DELIVERING PLAY SETS AND THE RECENTLY CONSTRUCTED OUTLET WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY ON JULY 6TH. THE GENERAL MANAGER, LORI STROHOFER, COULD HAVE CANCELLED MY SON'S PARTY, BUT SHE DECIDED TO KEEP HER COMMITMENT. IN THE NEXT 3 DAYS, LORI PUSHED HER STAFF TO CLEAR THE WAREHOUSE, SET DOWN RUBBER PADS AND ERECT EIGHT VERY LARGE PLAY SETS. A BASKETBALL COURT WAS ALSO ERECTED WITH 8 GOALS. SOME OF BASKETBALL GOALS WERE SET LOW ENOUGH FOR SMALL KIDS TO REACH. OUTLET STAFF WERE PUTTING OUT TOY HOUSES AND CARS JUST AS WE WALKED IN; IT WAS PERFECT! LORI STROHOFER AND HER DEDICATED STAFF HAVE MY SINCERE APPRECIATION. THE PARTY ROOM, KITCHEN, AND PLAY SETS ARE AN EXCELLENT VALUE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CONSIDER OHIO'S FICKLE WEATHER.

WE PURCHASED A PLAYSET EARLY IN THE SEASON. THEY CAME OUT AND INSTALLED IT. THE MEN WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH MY CHILDREN. THEY WERE FAMILIAR WITH THE PRODUCT AND ABLE TO MAKE NEEDED CHANGES DUE TO OUR UNEVEN YARD. THEY MADE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT LOCATION OF ITEMS ON THE SET FOR SAFETY. LORI STRODER, AT THE STORE, WAS VERY AVAILABLE TO WORK WITH US ON OUR MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SET, INSTALLATION AND USE. SHE WAS VERY PATIENT WITH LAST MINUTE CHANGES AND QUESTIONS.

THEY DELIVERED AND INSTALLED. PRICE WAS AVERAGE, CUSTOMER RELATIONS WAS BELOW AVERAGE AND INSTALLATION WAS BELOW AVERAGE. PRODUCT IS ABOVE AVERAGE. PLAY SYSTEM INSTALLERS NEEDED TO BE WATCHED. THEY TRIED TO GET AWAY WITH A FEW THINGS. SYSTEM WAS WORTH IT! I CAN PLAY TOO. PAY WITH CASH AND GET A 2% DISCOUNT. ALSO SELL GOALSETTER, GOALRILLA BASKETBALL SYSTEMS, AND PLAYHOUSES.

THERE WERE A COUPLE MINOR REPAIRS THAT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN RESPONSIVE TO. AS FAR AS THE PRODUCT QUALITY, THE SET COMES WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY.

QUALITY PRODUCT. HAD TO BE ON A WAIT LIST FOR INSTALLATION.

I WAS INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. MY ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE WITH OWNER PETE WAS NICE. HE WAS HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE. AFTER I HAD ORDERED THE SET, MY SALESPERSON WAS PUSHY AND RUDE ABOUT PAYMENT AND INSTALLATION. I FINALLY PAID WITH A CREDIT CARD OVER THE PHONE JUST TO STOP THE ANNOYING PHONE CALLS. I CHANGED MY ORDER ONCE, WHICH WAS NEVER DOCUMENTED AND LUCKILY I FOLLOWED THROUGH ON IT AND CAUGHT THE ERROR THEN. HOWEVER, ON INSTALLATION DAY, THEY NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP AND WERE RUDE AND OFFERED NO EXPLANATION WHEN I CALLED. WHEN THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP A FEW DAYS LATER, THEY BROUGHT THE WRONG PLAYSET (NOT THE INSTALLERS FAULT, BUT THE HOME OFFICE DIDN''T FAX THEM MY CHANGE ORDER). IF THIS STORE WAS NOT THE ONLY PLACE TO GET THIS BRAND OF SET, I WOULD HAVE CANCELLED MY ORDER WHEN THE SET DIDN''T SHOW THE FIRST TIME. THE INSTALLERS WERE GREAT BUT SAID THEY WERE UP FROM CINCINNATI HELPING BECAUSE THE COLUMBUS STORE IS SUCH A MESS.
