In the end, we hired them to take care of the work and not only were my expectations met...they were blown away. Aside from the meticulous scheduling and punctuality, his workers were uncharacteristically (for the industry) and outwardly friendly. They did a wonderful job and then after the fact, even received a follow up to make sure we were happy with the work they'd done - something no other company had done in the past. We would HIGHLY recommend Kleinhenz Landscape for any work you need done at your home or business. We plan on hiring them to help with some hardscaping and bigger projects in the future, since this "big" work is more their specialty.

Gabe provided us a quote that beat competitors for a similar scope of work and with higher quality materials and finishes.  We originally were considering a stamped concrete patio for durability and ease of maintenance, with the inclusion of paver seating walls.  When Gabe came to the equation, we were surprised to learn that he could construct a paver patio (preferred, but typically more expensive in our research) for less than other's were quoting.  But, for that same price his included seating walls, gas fire-pit (which was significant upcharge for other contractors) and lighting package along with all the landscaping to go with.

His crew is professional and hard working.  They take attention to detail seriously, and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product.  Everyone who sees it is amazed, and I don't hesitate to give credit to Kleinhenz and the crew.  In fact, we were so pleased with the value provided and work performed, that we are retaining them again this Spring to renovate the landscaping in front of the home.

I have had several contracting experiences and without a doubt Gabe, Shane and the rest of the guys are Kleinhenz Landscaping were the best I've ever had.  Gabe came over and did the original layout for us and was very patient and helpful in making several different design iterations based on changes we wanted to make.  He provided detail layout drawings and a 3D rendering that helped us to visualize the space.  We kicked off the project in mid March and one of the best things I noticed right away was Gabe's crew was very professional, taking time to lay down plywood to make sure equipment and machinery didn't damage our existing landscape.  Additionally, and perhaps the most surprising given what you get from most contractors, Gabe's guys were there every day until the project was done.  I experienced none of the usual "two days on three days off, your project takes two months to finish" garbage that you normally get.  Gabe told me the project would take 10 days, I honestly didn't believe him.  They were done in 10 days (counter top excluded but Gabe properly set that expectation).  Plus we had a few additions during construction, one of which was lighting (we had forgotten it in the original design) and the other was some additional landscaping.  Gabe's crew responded in short order with no hesitation.  Gabe himself was also available multiple times for me to run ideas past him on little things like putting in an element to cover up some of our mulch bed.  He offered several suggestions and different approaches.  
The project came to a finish just like he said and looks fantastic.  When I purchased my grill I bought it from a place that has landscape components as well and does their own installation.  The guy founded out I was using Gabe and said "He's great, he's one of the only guys in Columbus that can do everything, not just landscaping but the hardscape stuff as well."  I completely agree and give Kleinhenz Landscaping my highest review.

Gabe and the rest of the team are professional and knowledgeable - I completely trust them with our lawn and landscaping care. It is money well spent because it affords us more time with our family and the ability to just enjoy the outdoors rather than spend hours every weekend maintaining it.
We communicate via e-mail mainly which is wonderful and very convenient for me. They are always punctual and very responsive when I have had questions, needs, or concerns.

We interviewed 4 companies before deciding to go with Kleinhenz Landscape. The owner Gabe was quick to respond, professional and friendly. He was able to answer all of our questions and put everything in writing. His cost was the same or lower than the other quotes we got and with his years in the industry and favorable reviews, we felt like this was a good fit. The company did not disappoint. Gabe kept in touch consistently until the weather cleared up enough to begin work. His crew arrived on time every day. They were very friendly and professional and worked very hard the entire time. We made some minor changes to the plan during the process and Gabe and the crew didn't seem to mind. Each day, they cleaned up the yard and left everything in perfect condition. The work took about 6 days. We are more than thrilled with the results. The patio is beautiful and sturdy. The lead worker on our crew was so meticulous about the measurements and took his time to make sure everything was perfect. Gabe checked in with us daily to make sure we were satisfied. We will definitely used this company again and give them our highest recommendation.

Gabe was able to fit us into his busy spring cleanup season and his crew did a great job of our large area. They trimmed about 25 ornamental trees and shrubs, edged and installed 17 yards of mulch in one day. Everything was cleaned up before the crew left. I do feel the price was much higher than was necessary, but we were in a tight timeframe

We had a great experience with Gabe and the entire crew at Kleinhenz Landscape. Gabe and the crew delivered on everything that was promised. The estimate was accurate and detailed so there were no adjustments on the fly. The work was completed as planned and to our specifications. Kleinhenz will be our first call the next time we have any kind of landscape project. Whether large or small, we would highly recommend using Kleinhenz for any landscape project.

Extremely well. Very responsive with evaluation and design. Followed up extremely well with excellent communication and responsiveness to requests both for time of installation and change requests as the project proceeded . Excellent followup to be sure we were pleased with project. Installers easy to work with and responsive to requests. Very easy to work with. We are very pleased with the outcome and would certainly recommend them and use again.

The crew worked hard and was always on time. We are extremely pleased about every aspect of the large project.

My experience with them was excellent up until it came time to get an estimate, and design from them.
They were very responsive when I called about meeting with them. I felt very good about the potential for hiring them after the meeting. They were punctual, knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Everything you would want. They agreed to work something up for us, and get back in touch within 1-2 weeks. That's when all the positive attributes I described earlier dropped off the radar.
I never heard from them. I even left a voice mail to follow up, and to inform them of some info that had changed about our situation. I still never heard back. So, I can't give them anything but an and quot;averageand quot; grade. A and quot;Cand quot;. Too bad too. If they would have even just said and quot;Hey, we've decided that we'll just have to pass on the job for reasons X, Y, or Z, that would've been fine. Or better yet deliver what they promised, which was to draft up the idea we discussed, and present an estimate. But NO communication even after a reminder is bad. I have a hunch they've done excellent work for others. But I can only guess they weren't interested in my job.

Gabe reviewed different options for solving my lawn problems. He was very knowledgeable and helped to educate me on what needed to be done. Even though we did not use this company I would certainly consider them for future projects.

I've used them at my prior home always with good results. Gabe came out to our new place and looked at the crazy landscaping we had before. It was very and quot;creativeand quot; shall we say. Gabe designed a plan to our specifications. We wanted color and we got it. We didn't realize there were so many flowering bushes, etc. available. His guys came out and busted out the plan to perfection. They uncovered some drainage issues I had. My sump pump and some downspout drains had in-ground pipes that were pushing water uphill. They uncovered them to show me the issue and asked if I wanted it fixed. Obviously I did - can't be having sump pump issues. This was under the landscaping so that is how it was discovered. The results of it all are outstanding. We had some existing architectural lighting that was being reused. Gabe and I had discussed adding one to a new tree but I think he has added more just to improve the look of it all - and it did. I was impressed by the and quot;just do it rightand quot; business style. Gabe's a great guy and so are his guys. All professional and friendly. We enjoy having them around to tell the truth. This is one of those companies that I FIND projects for because they are so great to work with and I can sit back and not worry something will turn out bad - never does and even small things get fixed without my asking. They even pressure washed my front walk and fertilized the area to get it all off on the right foot. Outstanding.

The work and the experience were excellent. The only thing I would have liked would have been one or two "check ins" while we waited for the weather. A quick voice mail or email saying "you're still in the queue, I'll see you in a month or so" would have been helpful. I would definitely recommend Kleinhenz for other deck and wood work.

Gabe's team did a great job on our yard. Despite the weather delays due to all the rain this year, the work was done close to the estimated time period. They explained what would be done each day and stuck to the schedule, finishing on time. Everything looks great and the cleanup was fantastic. The spruce and arborvitae trees look good and are to scale for the area. The spring cleanup was well done--everything is neat and the edging and mulch looks good. The paver patio looks like new--we were originally afraid that we would have to remove the full patio. About 1/3 of it was affected by the tree roots and you'd never know what section they took out and redid--except that it looks like it should. We'll definitely have them do more work for us in the future.

It was a simple process, really. After an initial phone call, they came out and gave me a quote. We accepted and worked with them to schedule the visit. No hassle. No complications.

Kleinhenz provided us with a summary of the services they were going to provide; called in advance to tell us when they'd be at our home, and then did the work.

Very courteous and punctual. This company went above and beyond what i had asked of them!! Gabe, Shane, and Zach were awesome people to work with. I have used this company every year since 2007 to do my spring cleaning yardwork, mulching, and edging. Even had them put in a paver entryway for our house. Had a small problem a year later and they were there within 3 days to repair the issue, at NO CHARGE!! You will not regret using this company

We met with Gabe to design a patio that would be within our budget, beautiful, functional, and easy to maintain. we wanted to use clay pavers instead of the more popular concrete pavers and Gabe was knowledgeable and helpful. The old patio was raised and Gabe removed all the fill. Our lawn was protected with plywood which was put down every morning and removed every evening. This prevented the equipment driven back and forth from tearing up the grass. Gabe was very professional and very polite - and very patient with us. He met with us several times to answer our questions and was genuinely concerned with our satifaction.

They came out and met with us, did all the work in just a couple days, then came back to make sure we were happy and checked several more times to make sure all plants were growing as expected. They now come back in spring and fall for cleanup, and always check to make sure we are happy.

While Gabe did not show for the first appointment, he did follow-up and rescheduled promptly. Overall we were very pleased with the work. When asked to re-sand a couple of areas after the job was complete, he sent someone out within a few days of the request which was appreciated.
