Communication about the painting process (appointment with color consultant, getting on a waitlist, etc) was poor. I had reach out to several people to get answers to my questions including a receipt for my deposit. We were told that it would be a few months before the painting job would be done but was scheduled after a few weeks due to a change in the weather. We were supposed to have a team of painters but only had one the first day, and, he was 2 hours late. We ended up having 2 painters the next day which did not go very well. Paint was found in several spots all over our carpets, couch, fixtures, cabinets, etc. We even found spots where the touch-ups were done in the wrong color. This was the sloppiest painting job I have ever seen. We ended up having to buy more paint to re-touch several walls and attempted to remove the paint from the carpet and other items (although water soluble, some of it did not come out). After reaching out to Color World the only thing they had to offer us was a gift card to a restaurant as compensation. We hired Color World because of the reviews on Angie's List but it appears that they contract out to anyone that can hold a paintbrush.

They did a great job. Who ever they hire to do the job is whatever you are stuck with. They did quality work and paid attention to detail.

They got paint on the new carpet and the furniture, it was just a mess. We paid a premium fro it because we thought they would do a better job. It was subcontracted and it is only as good as the subcontractor you get. The work is only as good as the contractor. They did not seem to concerned about the paint being on the new carpet and the furniture, they just seemed to think...it is just paint.

Very well. Had some delays getting started but painting was done in 3 days. Crew was very professional. Cleanup was very good.

This was a long and gruelling experience! After agreeing on a quoted price I was placed on a waiting list to perform the work depending on weather availability. This was completely understandable. While out of town I was contacted by Color World requesting to start work over memorial weekend. I agreed but informed them I would not be present. When I arrived at my residence I found sloppy work had been performed. No taping on taping was done before painting. There was an overwhelming amount of over painting on my concrete, masonry, windows, windows seals, soffit, and even my lawn. Concerns where expressed with management that did arrive, apologize, and assure me that this would all be cleaned up and there would be no more issues in the future. However the clean up was never completed after the manager left sloppy work continued. I allowed the work to continue for the second coat and touch up painting. Which the crew managed to continue to over paint deflect to filling clean up there mess and still wasn't able to complete all edge and touch up painting. Not only was the work mediocre at best. Color World managed to damage my shrubbery. And I am still not convinced they power washed prior to painting. I can say that the management team was very responsive and apologetic and advised this was a new crew. Tgey agreed to a discounted cost due to all of the issues. Maybe this is a one time issue with Color World but I'm not willing to risk it in the future.

We had a really great experience with Color World! The paint looks awesome, and got the project done much more quickly than I expected. Everyone there was great to work with, from the guy who came out to give us a quote, to the scheduling people, to the crew that did the work. We also appreciated the free color consultation. That was a big help in making us feel good about the colors we were choosing.

They sprayed painted our house and everything else that they did not cover

I let the owner know at the of estimate that I was not in a hurry and would be able to schedule after the holidays. The original crew was scheduled and canceled 3 times. They hurriedly sent another crew right before Christmas. It was actually just one guy who brought a different member of his family with him everyday and who kept trying to sell me his other services (cleaning, etc). They missed many parts of the ceiling, spilled drops of paint on floor, counter and ceiling. They removed my blinds to paint inside window well but never painted inside any of windows. I called the company twice to see if they could come out to paint areas missed and they never called back. I've used Color World before, but never will again.

Excellent. Tom provided a very competitive quote for painting 4 rooms in my home, including using S.W. paint. Jay and his painting team were professional, informative, careful, and courteous doing a demanding, thorough job. I would work with these gentlemen again.

When I hire a contractor the thing I look for is punctuality, they doing what you say, saying what you'll do, so I formed a reasonable expectation and they met and it and exceeded.

Prompt service. Great job. Easy to work with.

Great, prep/paint/clean up so good I did not even mind the one minor issue (broke my plastic downspout connection to underground drainage.....can't find a replacement either)..... Better all around work than anyone I've used this decade. Am having them paint my interior/ceilings soon as I remember to call them!

They did a beautiful job with all the work. Communication with them was great and they went out of their way to be as quick, efficient and professional as possible. Their follow up was superb. They called to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again if I have a future need for painting services.

They were very nice and professional but, I think I would have done a better job myself. I gave them a C because of the money. I don't feel like it was what it should have been. They charged too much money for that. The did their job and they left the area clean. They weren't attentive to detail. I am not a clean freak but when I clean something, I get it really clean. When I paid that much money, I didn't want paint on my woodwork. If I want half the job, I can do that do that myself.

It went really well. The were very responsive throughout and proactive in gaining our business. The wood work was done very well and when it was found that some of the siding did not really need to be replaced, they did not replace it and adjusted their bill accordingly. I would not have known otherwise and appreciate their honesty. The paint job exceeded my expectations.
