Carmen's Vacuum & Janitorial (Powell Location)

The vacuum cleaner was fixed and works well. The price was reasonable, but the service was horrible. I left the vacuum at the Sawmill Road store for repairs during April when I was out of town. It was not ready when I tried to pick it up the first week of May: a clerk told me the HEPA filter had not been installed and it would be ready in two days. The next day I called to confirm it would be ready. A different clerk was not aware of the need for the filter and told me that there was no notation that a new HEPA filter was needed and that the vacuum would be ready the next day if they had the right filter in stock. Luckily they did have one in stock. The miscommunication among staff was a substantial part of the problem coupled with the incomplete service while it was in the store for a month.

They fixed the handle and the base took a couple of weeks turnaround time but everything is working well

Great communication and professional install. Price was reasonable, and Install was quick and well done. Only issue is that the hose I ordered through them is on back order, and a week later still hasn't come in, meaning I still haven't been able to use the system.

We asked them to check out if there were other issue to see if it was worth repairing (Dysons do not lose suction). When they called to let us know that it would be over 250.00 to repair, we asked them to replace the bar. They did and the vaccuum came back not spinning at all. The man from Carmen's said it worked there while when my husband picked up the machine-end of story.

I went to this retailer for 3 reasons. I found him on Angie's List, he was listed as a retailer of Riccar vacuum cleaners, and he was close to my home in Dublin. I had purchased a Riccar vacuum for my home in Jupiter Florida and was very impressed. I had never heard of it as they don't spend money on advertising but the small shop in Florida recommended it highly as did the man at Carmen's. They both said it was the only vacuum made in America and was a great value for the price. He also gave me a rebate on my old vacuum and a bag of Hipa replacement bags.

They were exceptional businesspeople. They had competitive prices.

vacuum filter was jammed, so I drove to the High Street location to drop it off. they advised it would be sent out for service. I recieved a call from service repairman on Thursday advising it would be on a truck for Friday AM store delivery. when I drove back to pick it up on Saturday, the "fill in" person advised it wasn't there but would have an "owner" call me. I didn't recieve a call, so I called later in the day. Brian didn't seem to care that he didnt get the message, and just said "well, i don't know why they told you it would be here. you can get it monday. it's in the warehouse now". although the work was performed, I wasn't pleased with how they handled the customer service aspect. but I think they are the only game in town for repair...

Excellent customer service.

Needless to say, I did not purchase the vacuum for the higher price. I also did not purchase from their website. I located the vacuum at another store in the area who had a price that was comparable to the online special that Carmen's was running.
