The original cost quoted by the Electrician, Quan, was $550, which we thought was a decent price for what we wanted done. However, when they were finished, he tacked on another $50 for (going off a text message he sent me as to why he uped the price) " 3 extra pieces of box wire" (not sure what that is...), and some extra lights he hung. That part, I didn't understand because my husband walked him through the house and pointed out ALL the light fixtures and electrical sockets that would need to be replaced; so I'm not sure why he felt he installed extra, but whatever...
So okay, I went ahead and paid the extra $50 (even though he missed a few of the electrical sockets). But AFTER he left, we noticed that one of the electrical sockets and one of the fans he put up (the one with the remote control) didn't work. The electrical socket is, still to this day, a dead socket. And whenever we went to turn the fan light on, whether from the wall switch or from the control, the light would stay on 2 seconds, then turn off. I called Quan back (that night) to tell him about it, and he said that he would have to charge me an additional $50 to fix it. And when I asked him: "How do you charge me for what should've worked correctly BEFORE you left the house?", he got defensive, and rude. He told me that it wasn't his fault that the light didn't work. After some "persuasion" on my end, he said that'd he'd come back on his (and I quote): "own time, and own dime". That was back on 1/13/14, and I haven't heard from that man since.
I partly blame myself for not checking EVERY SINGLE socket and light fixture throughout my home, but I figured that because this company was on the BBB Website, they would do a professional job. My mistake.
"1st off I did Everything the home owner asked for on the list she made the appointment then she was not there her significant other was there and he really did'nt know what was going on.So he showed me some things to be done and we set a price of $600.00. So I came a week later house was a complete wreck we moved everything to do our work. When we did a walk thru when I arrived to do the work he pointed some extra things out they added things to list so I fixed extra outlets and other items for them no charge. They we suppose to buy a new ceiling fan but they did'nt do that they wanted me to rob parts from and old broken fan to fix another fan when the parts were not compatible so when I left they said the light came on and went off but the fan works which is telling me like I told the homeowner you need to replace the fan with a new unit because the electrical portion is working. I never did take this fan down it was already existing. We we over her house for 6 hours with 2 guys and the home owners told us thanks a lot it were about to finish our basement and want you to come wire it. Theysaid good job my thoughts are why pay us if you were not happy? And then go type this slander I been doing electric for 21 years and never had a complaint like this ever. How do I got other great testimonials and carry A+ on BBB? Thanks Quan Sullivan owner"
