Tree Service
They did an excellent job for a reasonable price. I had checked some other prices, and theirs was the most reasonable, and they did the best job. They were very nice, but the work that they did was excellent. They took all the dirt and chips away, and they brought top soil and planted grass on it. You couldn't even tell there was a tree there. They came when they were supposed to, got it done and got out.

Prompt, courteous gave me a price and done what I paid for. Cleaned up mess like he was never there. Old fashioned manners treated us like a true gentleman would, and his work was the same. We definitely will use him again. I recommended him to my niece and she was greatly pleased at work him and his men did. Greatly satisfied.

I figured I could get some $ out of the lumber, possibly trade the lumber for someone cutting down the tree. He said it was damaged and wouldn't be worth anything. He also said it was easier for them to cut it into smaller pieces and feed it into the chipper for removal.
I chose them because they had a larger company with ins. However, they came in with a huge semi to remove the large intact tree (knowing they could get about $2000) and I came home early and saw it so they thought they could sneak away with it. Because it was so large, when it fell, it caved in my driveway which had a large cement drain under it. Then when digging out my stump, they hit my water line and it was gushing out for hours. We had to run out and stop them because they almost hit our gas line. They did fix the problems (but with a cheaper plastic drain tunnel) and he was very unfriendly. All of this could have been avoided if he would have been honest about the tree. I would have told him the ground couldn't support the weight. He was not honest about the lumber and also put his employees and my family in danger by not checking on water, gas, and electric lines underground. I know local lumber yard owners and he made about $2000 from the lumber and $1500 from me paying for his services (we were without water for 3 days from this and unable to park in our driveway). The price included stump removal but he was unable to remove the stump do to underground lines, so we were over charged.

During a big wind storm, a huge limb (about 1/4 of a large pin oak tree) came down from my oak tree into my neighbor's front yard. Seeing there were more large limbs dangling precariously over both yards, I called Custom Tree Service (while the storm was still raging) and asked them to come out ASAP to make the tree safe. They came out as soon as the storm was over, and made the tree safe. They also pointed out that the tree had a lot of rot, making it dangerous in the future. As the neighbor was making a big issue of the tree, I had it completely removed by Custom Tree Service. They did it in a timely, professional way with no long-term damage to my property (just some wheel marks in the grass from their big truck...but those faded quickly. They dug out the stump, smoothed out the ground and put down grass seed. They aren't cheap, but I think I got a decent price, and they are worth the $ to feel safe and know the job is done right. I recommend them.

The company owner arrived 2-3 weeks prior to the work with an estimate. The estimate appeared to be reasonable for the amout of work, equipment necessary and clean up required. I received a call the day that the trees were to be pruned. We discussed the amount of pruning and the company performed a very good job and cleaned up well after the work was complete.

Tree Service
I first contacted the company in March. I was told it was too wet to get to the area where the tree was located and they would be back when it stopped raining. Once a month I would get a phone call telling me they were at my house but it was still too wet to get to the area. In August a friend volunteered to cut up the tree(s) that were still laying in my yard and all I would have to do was dispose of the wood. The friend cut the tree(s) into pieces on August 12. On August 15 I get a phone call telling me the tree(s) had been cleaned up out of the yard and the other tree had been cut down. I received no call telling me they were at my house to do the work and asking me if I still wanted them to do it; just a call telling me the work was done. He then asked me when I would be home so he could come get his money. When he arrived later that evening, I noticed two huge pieces of tree that had not been cleaned up and asked when he planned to get those. He said he would be back within the week. (8/15-22) On October 1, I called to inquire when they would be coming to retrieve the remainder of the tree they had left in August and got no answer but was able to leave a message. On Thursday the next week I noticed the remainder of the tree had been removed.

It took a week and I lost $3500 buy going with him. The other company would of got the same job done and cheaper. I told him he could rent what he said he had broke down and he didn't want to do that.
