BETTY'S PET GROOMING

A trip to Betty's Pet Grooming is something that happens about every six weeks and the most recent experience is a fine example to summarize our expeirences. There was some confusion about the scheduled appointment as the day and the date were conflicting on the card given by a Betty's employee. After confirming the day before the right day and time, they still seemed a bit surprised to see our dog. But Betty was very friendly and said she would call in a few hours when our dog was groomed and ready to be picked up.In my opinion, the scheduling confusions are probably the result of a constant rotation in staff at Betty's. It is very rare that I see the same employee (besides Betty, the owner and primary groomer) two visits in a row - which are just six weeks apart. I know it's difficult to find good employees but I do believe the turnover causes problems for customers in scheduling, trusting the groomers, etc.
Approximately 3 hours later, Betty's employee called to say our dog was ready. When I went to pick her up, she was actually not yet dry and needed a final brushing. So I had to wait about 10 more minutes which was really no big deal but is the norm with Betty's. I should also mention that I live about 20 minutes away with traffic so it was more like 30 minutes between the "ready call" and pick-up.
When I arrived home, I noticed that they had forgotten to clip my dog's nails (second time in a row). I called and was told I could bring her back down (an hour trip) or wait until next time. I decided neither option was very satisfactory so I clipped them at home. Kinda frustrating to pay almost $40 and not have what you paid for completed.
Either way, I will likely continue to go to Betty's Pet Grooming because there are only a couple other local groomers and I've been to all of them. The service is even worse at the other locations.
