In the beginning we gave her a deposit of $8,000. She then wanted us to rent the entire house, including three apartments for $1200 a month for one year. When we complained to her about repairs that needed to be made before we moved in, she said they would be taken care of but they were not. There was seven inches of sewage in the bathtub. She said she was going to have the electric updated to breaker boxes, carpet was supposed to be put down, the interior paint was supposed to be redone and none of this happened. They put stencils of leaves on the walls with markers. She also nailed shut emergency exits. The basement was a crawl space with three gas water heaters. All we smelled was gas. We had to move out because of the living conditions, we were actually getting sick. Two months after we had already moved in she handed us a pamphlet about lead paint and wanted us to sign an agreement. We told her we were going to put our rent in escrow and she told us not to threaten her. She wanted us to sign an agreement, which was never signed by all the parties involved which made it null and void. After we moved out, she kept every penny. We told her we were going to take her to court and she threatened us. At this point we have not received any of our money back. This woman was nothing but threats and no sympathy.
