I listed my home with Jack Bradley Real Estate for 6 months.It?s located in a private lake community with a boat marina; my home is 2 blocks from the beach. My home was appropriately priced to sell for the area, and staged but I only had two showing due to the market. I signed the contract for 6 months. I reduced the price once during the summer months. I was contacted by the real estate agent to grant access to another real estate agent to show my home one evening which was fine with me. What disappointed me was I was contacted to allow another real estate agent from out of town walk through my home, because he was purchasing for his own ?summer home.?  I felt that my agent should have been there to walk him through my home because he was ?a buyer? not in the capacity of a ?real estate agent walking clients through? and discussed this with her. We agreed I would sit at the end of my driveway and let him walk through my home unescorted because she had other homes to show in Catawba Island further up the Coast. I
left work early only to receive a call that he drove by and decided it wasn?t ?on the lake? and no longer wanted to view the home. I was informed he had reviewed the homes in the neighborhood the previous weekend and ?assuming? he truly was a Real Estate Agent, one would have thought he driven around or checked mapquest to know the location of my home prior to wasting my time. All the
same, I certainly did not like the fact I had to let a complete stranger in my home without my agent being there and was thankful he decided he passed on it due to location even though I haven?t sold my home. About a month prior to the listing expiring I was contacted to reduce the price and I decided against it and the listing expired in January 2013.
