Not only were Chad's estimates lower than others we received, the examples of other lawns in our neighborhood that he managed were noticeably different and more well cared for than other professionally managed lawns.
We engaged his service for the year and looked forward to working with him.
Over the course of the season, he really turned our lawn around. Chad always double cuts the lawn leaving a beautiful cross-cut pattern, and more even grass height. He took the time to learn the slopes and contours of our lawn to make sure he never scalped any higher points. Last season our lawn looked healthier, greener, and was more drought tolerant than any other season we've lived here. Chad also edges the lawn of our corner lot around all sidewalk edges and landscaping beds on each visit. He also very carefully blows and cleans clippings each time.
Perhaps the biggest endorsement of his service was when we asked Chad to cut my very particular father-in-law's lawn while he was on vacation last summer. He has over 1.5 acres of lawn on his lot and is incredibly exacting in its maintenance. We often think he cares for his lawn as much as he dotes on his grandchildren. Chad did a fantastic job and had my father in law asking for his contact information for help with his lawn throughout the year when he saw his house when he pulled in from vacation.
We couldn't be happier with Chad's service, but we also love his professionalism, attention to detail, and jovial nature. He has earned a renewed contract for this season and has more neighbors asking for his number to cut their lawns. And he's earned our gratitude for driving through our neighborhood with a snow plow blade on his truck during one of our heavier storms this year. I was outside just getting my snow blower fired up, when he stopped with a rolled down window and said he'd help make things a little easier. He bladed the mouth of my driveway and pushed the 2 foot bumper of snow from the street plows clear, then he got out, pulled on a hat and helped me shovel and clear the rest of my driveway for no charge. He was just driving by and saw an opportunity to help.
We're also exploring some landscape design and installation with him this season as well as leaf removal and expanded service.
