I cannot speak highly enough of Daniel Perkey and his crew. Everything they did was of outstanding quality. Daniel is meticulous, an excellent listener, and a remarkably designer/executor of design. He was willing to answer any and all questions, made suggestions and offered opinions, but did so in a spirit of helpfulness, not self-assertion. He and his men came every morning that weather permitted and stayed working throughout the day. I am delighted, thrilled, pleasured with the results of their work, and my neighbors likewise consider the patio and the landscaping a knockout job.
I not only will use Daniels Landscaping again, but will do my utmost to spread the word about this remarkable company.

The job went very well. They installed it on time and did a good job on the installation. They had nice follow up. I would recommend them. They do design work as well. Their design work was good but not as good as their installation. They are probably not as flexible as they could be in the design work, but it worked out. In the end I would recommend them to someone else. It was a little expensive for what I got.

We have used Daniel's Landscaping on 3 separate occasions. Two occasions involved installation of new landscaping and one was for a "Spring Clean Up" type of service. In all 3 instances we have been extremely pleased. They are punctual, knowledgeable, and personable. In one instance Daniel was to install a specific tree (as decided by the designer) but when looking for this specific specie of tree Daniel discovered that there were very few currently available, and that which was available was not at all shaped in the way that we were wanting for our landscape. He provided us with this information and worked with the landscape designer and us to find a substitute tree for an area. The landscape designer we use had recommended Daniel's to us on a previous installation when we were replacing all of the perennials in our landscaping. Daniel's was great to work with and was very knowledgeable of all of the different plants and trees. When this new project came along we were more than happy to use Daniel's again.

Dan worked with us to design a solution for a large area that was too shady to grow a good lawn - we wanted to keep the shade but have a nice surface to walk on. We wanted the least expensive yet durable and low maintenance patio, that would blend well with the woods it borders, and would not interfere with the drainage pattern of the very large area. What he put in is all those things and very attractive, too - we couldn't be more pleased. The large-flagstone walkway he built across the slope along our back porch has made it a pleasure to walk across the area (I had been avoiding going into the back yard due to the poor terrain). Dan is very experienced and knowledgeable about all areas of landscaping, and he and his skilled crew are very reliable and easy to work with. They have done landscape work for us many times: pruning, planting, mulching, fertilizing, beautiful designs, etc., all top quality work. Doing their best work is clearly important to them. (Dan also alerted us to a severe leaf miner problem on our boxwoods. He recommended the company Ahlum & Arbor to treat them, which we have had done. We could have lost the hedges if Dan hadn't noticed this.)

They come out to do periodical clean ups for us. He is very responsive to my messages and calls me back and comes right out. Very reasonable with pricing.

Our experience was not the best. The main thing was that we have walnut trees that are close to where he put in the landscaping. Walnut trees put out a toxicity that kills certain plants. He knew the walnut tree was there but he put the plants in anyway. I called him and he was willing to replace things. He wasn't gong to charge for the removal but he did want to charge me to put things back.

First of all THEY ARRIVED ON TIME! Actually, they called and asked if they could come a little bit EARLY! I don't know if I've ever experienced that before from a contractor! I was blown away. Dan and his employees (a 4-man crew) were clean-cut and wore matching shirts. They were very PROFESSIONAL... clean language, got along well with each other, nice manners, no blaring music, no smoking - and they didn't even complain when I asked them to reposition a (very heavy) boulder. Dan and his team were also VERY HARD-WORKING.... constantly in motion and worked efficiently. They were also TIDY and didn't leave tools and junk all over my yard. A little "extra touch" that impressed me was that they were very KIND to my children. My 10 year old was wishing he could "help" and they gave him a job of brushing off the stones for the retaining wall. And they made such an impression on my 9 year old that he now says he wants to be a landscaper when he grows up!! What higher praise is there?! :)

THEIR PRICE WAS GREAT BUT THEY FORGOT TO CLEAN THE BIG FLOWER BED (WHICH IS WHAT WE GOT THE ESTIMATE FOR) AND ONLY CLEANED THE SMALL ONE. THEY DID NOT TRIM TWO OF THE TREES CORRECTLY AND DID NOT TAKE ENOUGH OFF OF THEM.
