Everything went well. They took care of everything quickly and cleaned up after themselves.

SOS had cleaned my fireplace earlier but when my tenant moved in discovered the damper would not stay open.  I called Felix and he sent a man out immediately to fix the problem.  Very honest and dependable company.  Will use them in the future and recommend the company to other landlords.

It took a little longer than they expected to remove the old liner because it was not installed correctly to begin with. Once they had that done, everything else went very well.  I was impressed with how careful they were to cover everything in my family room - especially since I had recently gotten new carpet in that room. (I was not expecting to have this done or I would have waited to get the new carpeting.) The fireplace was so clean when they finished, it even smelled great!  I really appreciated the fact that they worked with my insurance company to cover part of the cost.  Thank you SOS!

They were very punctual, made no mess, cleaned up after themselves and were done in less than 1/2 hour.

They came out on time, and did a great job cleaning our chimney and repairing the fireplace. Top notch, friendly, professional. We have also used them to power wash our house. Again, great job.

We had a good experience with them. They came out and they were very professional. They got up on the roof and did what they had to do. They vacuumed up after they were done. They did a good job. Their pricing wasn't the cheapest, but their service was good.

By the time I called SOS, it was full on fireplace season, so my appointment was scheduled within 2 weeks. The technicians were very courteous (they even greeted and petted my dog when they went outside to inspect my chimney) and were incredibly detailed. They took extra care to make sure they did not get any dirt on my carpet and gave me instuctions as to how to care for my fireplace; I am a first time homeowner so this was extremely helpful. My fireplace does not have a door or screen on it, so they explained the importance of that, gave me some places to go where I could get a door at a reasonable price, and even measured the gap for me to let me know what size I needed to get. After inspection, they showed me their report and recommended that I get a power wash and a sealant due to some mortor issues on my fireplace. The quote was for about $450 and urged me to get this service done before it got too cold and they couldn't use the power washer. The next thing I know, I recieve a phone call informing me that SOS would be out to power wash and seal my fireplace the next week. Being this close to Christmas, and the fact that I just bought a house, I could not invest that kind of money into my fireplace and called SOS to inform them. They were very understanding and informed me that the next opportunity to do this would be spring, I said I would call them in the spring, but I felt a little more comfortable getting a second opinion on the chimney, as there were a lot of things on my "Spring Repair" list that I considered more urgent than my chimney. I would definitely use them again for chimney service and repair, but was a touch uneasy with the way the additional repairs portion was handled. I will err on the side that it was a miscommunication, because I have not recieved any follow ups or presurring phone calls to have the power wash completed.

They were recommended to me by a local person, Suburban Fireplace, because I had gotten tired of throwing my money out of the window on unsatisfactory work. They were absolutely wonderful. Robert knew exactly what he was looking for, and he explained to me how the fireplace works. He pointed out features I knew nothing about, and he made great suggestions. I felt completely enlightened after speaking with him. Felix, the owner, was in constant contact with me to schedule the power-washing when the weather cooperated. Once it was dried, they finished up with a waterproof sealant. Robert did both the power-washing and the sealing, and what I appreciated most about him was that he never pressured me into unnecessary repairs. I really liked his thoughtful overview and his helpful suggestions, and that he never pushed services that I did not need. He truly seemed concerned with helping me maintain my home and keeping it in good, working order. They were both fantastic, and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

They were fine. They were pretty quick to respond. I had two issues with the chimneys. I had infestation in my house from the birds and the bats. One of the chimneys had a hole in it. I also found out there were cats on top of the chimney. S O S Chimney Sweeps was very good. They did the job well and they also cleaned up really well. They were a little expensive, though.

First time I used this company - I called them because they would make an actual appointment rather than schedule a "window" of time. Excellent job - worked quickly but seemed thorough and pointed out issues as they worked.

When they came back to repair the masonry work the second time they were polite and friendly. There was no charge for this. I would recommend them.

Very well. They showed up exactly on time and were very clean. You couldn't tell they had been in the house. I have used them for several years and been very happy with them.

We had our fireplace running non-stop during a three day cold spell. On the third day, we started smelling something horrible coming from the fireplace. It smelled like burning insulation. We called SOS and explained the situation. Felix explained that it would be too hot for him to inspect that day, but they could come out later and look at it. The guys were right on time and very professional.

We have a very large two sided fireplace which had not been cleaned in several years. SOS came in and did a complete inspection, and then recommended we get a new chimney cap. We had been experiencing problems with the old one. Due to the size of the fireplace, they had to order one in to fit. They called back and followed up on time and completed the installation without us having to check up on them. They are a great company and did a fantastic job.

I don't want to grade price because I don't know what is comparable elsewhere. They were very friendly and seemed efficient. It didn't take very long. They covered my carpet so they wouldn't get anything on it.

He offered good suggestions, he was on time, and there was no dirt left in the house. He listened to what we had to say and was very professional.

They cleaned the chimney about 4 months ago and said the top needed to be painted. They came out a couple of weeks ago to paint the top. They called us before they came out to let us know. They did give a senior discount but I thought it was a little pricey. I think they did a good job but I cannot see the top so I assume they did. They said it was rusting and if we didn't do it then it would rust thru.

PRICE INCLUDES PRIOR CUSTOMER DISCOUNT. $10 INCREASE FROM PREVIOUS YEAR, WHICH I THINK IS MODERATE. THEY ARE THOROUGH AND METICULOUS. THEY ARE VERY NEAT; I HAVE NEVER FOUND ANY SOOT OR SOIL ON MY CARPET AFTER THEY FINISHED. I HAVE USED THEM SINCE 2000. THEY REPLACED MY CHIMNEY CAP ON THE FIRST VISIT, GAVE ME A LIFETIME WARRANTY, AND THE CHIMNEY CAP HAS BEEN TROUBLE-FREE TO DATE, WHICH WAS NOT TRUE OF THE PREVIOUS CHIMNEY CAP (IT WAS DESTROYED IN A WIND STORM). I MUCH PREFER THEM TO THE OTHER FOUR CHIMNEY SWEEPS I HAVE USED IN THE PAST.
