Jeff quoted us $22,000 for his portion of this project. While I was individually responsible for hiring the contractors for the excavation, plumbing, HVAC, gutters and downspouts, the exterior bricking up of windows which were being moved, carpeting and tile, the painting of interior drywall and all exterior surfaces, and 99% of the materials as they were needed, Jeff was to contract ALL other labor, a minimal amount of materials, oversee the entire project, arrange for the permitting, and the interim and final inspections. The total project was to take 60-90 days. After 150 days, 99% of the work is done but Jeff is unwilling to resolve an outstanding electrical outlet issue, arrange for the removal of his own construction debris or come out for the final inspection. Jeff refuses to complete these final outstanding items because I am unwilling to pay all of his charges for aspects of the project that were included in his original bid.
Description of Work: Room addition.

Response from JEFF LIEB
When we were ready to begin installation of interior woodwork and the member received my quote for the staining and finishing of his woodwork, he reacted poorly. Angry that it was not included in my bid, even though he agreed they would do all the painting. Previously when I told him he probably didn't have the skill or equipment to do the stairway and finishing, he agreed. I told him when the time came I would "hook him up" with the most cost effective way of finishing his woodwork. Some how he perceived that to mean I would do it for free. That mistake cost me over $1500 time and materials. I ate it. Same thing with the installation of his shower door. Now he's going for trash removal and changing the electrical layout. Everything that I included in my proposal was itemized and related to my draw schedule. It's all in writing, which he has never signed and returned to me. Now he is attempting to hold my reputation hostage to get his own way. He writes inclusions and exclusions all day every day he knows exactly what he's doing. Jeffrey Lieb
