DESIGN PLUMBING

We purchased a new home and Design Plumbing did all the plumbing installation and warranty work.  On our first day in the house, my daughter took a shower and we had water pouring down through the ceiling due to a cracked pipe in the shower.  Called Design Plumbing and they came out the same day and repaired the pipe.  Our second call to them was for sewer odor from the 2nd floor toilet.  They came out within a couple days and discovered that the vent pipe was never extended through our roof.  They cut the hole and the issue seemed to be resolved for a few weeks until we again had sewer gas coming through the 2nd floor toilet when the first floor toilet is flushed.  So waiting on another warranty service call.  I'm hoping they will be able to figure out what is causing this issue.  Overall their service is pretty good, though I question the quality of their work given the issues that we have had so far.

Fast Forward to 2011, we where having problems with our kitchen sink not draining properly so we had another plumber come out to look at it.  What the new plumber discovered is that Design Plumbing did not use high pressure Schedule 40 so the line bowed 2+ inches. It had to be replaced and now all the drywall has to be repaired. Additionally we had issues with the finish plumbing work on the bathroom. I would not recommend Design Plumbing to anyone.

We are ''required'' to use this company, per warranty on this newly built home. This poses a huge problem, as there are more reputable companies that would do a great job from the start. I voiced my first complaint with this Co regarding improper installation of the dual showerheads that I purchased myself, as well as, the time taken to install the washer and dryer. It should have taken about 20 minutes to 40 minutes, at most. Well, took him more than double that. He actually needed to call on additional help. When a manager came to fix kitchen faucet another day, he kept telling me that the water problem was from the side spray hose, then the next thing he's off to replace the whole faucet, as the original one was damaged in the installation. He installed the new faucet and properly installed the part needed for the dual showerhead. Now that our master toilet keeps dripping, we are still waiting for the returned phone call, that their ''After 5'' service promised us.
