Shamas Salon & Spas was founded in 1996 by Tony Shamas. Tony is a master stylist, and his experience includes both national and international training over the past two decades. Through this, the “Shamas Technique” was born. This highly technical education system helps ensure all of the Shamas team is well prepared to bring your inner beauty into focus through a growing selection of beauty and wellness services. In the past whenever I have paid for a cut and style, I have left the salon with my hair completely finished. At the Shamas salon that was located in Sylvania, that was my experience and I was very pleased. However at the Perrysburg location, when the cut was completed, I was told I had to blow dry my hair myself. I left the salon with my hair half finished. I will never return.

I like them. They are very responsive to your suggestions. They work with you rather than forcing you into a particular style. They have a very courteous and friendly atmosphere. They are very good people to work with.

They are prompt. Once you make an appointment, they will call you the night before and you will be seen on time when you get there. Their price is very high. They didn’t pay attention to what I wanted. The front desk people who answer the phone try to be very professional. I spend $120 a month for getting my hair trimmed and for blow drying. They try to get the work done in a very short period of time. I am in and out really fast and I pay $60. They do good work. It also depends on who you get. You might get somebody who really listens to you, but it’s variable. It’s possible that I would use their services again.
