Downy was great! They really worked with my crazy schedule in preparation of our newborn coming home. They did a very thorough job and they were fairly priced. I would definitely use them again.

I was very happy with the services they provided! I will without a doubt use them again! This is the 5th time I have used them and have been happy each time! They try to send the same crew each time when it is possible. When they have had to send a different crew, they were all so very nice and polite. The girls are dressed nice and neat. They are friendly and enjoyable to have in my home. It is a company that I feel comfortable having in my home even when I can't be there! They are the perfect answer for the busy person always on the go! I hope that Santa brings me another gift certificate for Christmas this year!

Overall, getting Downey to meet my needs related to a cleaning time were fine.  However the crew that they sent out were extremely superficial cleaners.  I left a list of things I wanted done and they either did them badly or not at all.  Sharrie just gave excuses for them when I talked to her about making this bad experience right.

Vendor showed on time. When I returned to inspect the work the carpets were soaked. Called Downey and with a bit of reluctance to have the worker return and properly remove the water. After an unpleasant conversation with the owner she dispatched the supervisor to inspect the work. He agreed the carpets were holding to much water and did his best to remove it. The next day where the area the cleaning machine was setting was a strong negative odor. I called the company and the owner came out to inspect the work. She seemed to care less about the debris not removed during cleaning and the smell, only telling me the worker was the best she had and never was a complaint about his work. She refused to smell the area claiming a health issue. She agreed to make an attempt to remove the odor by sending out a worker to smother the smell with a deodorant or a claimed bacteria eater. This odor was even worse and about two weeks the was gone. We do not have animals and remove shoes in our home. Dealing with this firm was difficult/unprofessional and I far from received my monies worth. I strongly discourage this style of customer service and quality of work and will urge going to another company for carpet cleaning.
Response from Downey's Daisy Home Services (TOLEDO METRO AREA)

"I have done my best to find evidence that we ever did this job, First of all, Daisy Home Services does not do carpet cleaning at all. We are a house cleaning company. We do have a sister Company that does carpet cleaning but I can't find an invoice or work order in any of their files either.. The other mystery is that, I write all of the radio commercials for all of our companies and we have never, ever dry- cleaned carpeting. The Downey Family actually manufactures their own steam cleaning machines and they're sold all over the U.S.. I'm really at a loss...Let's just say that he got the companies mixed up, which is possible. Now, Coit was advertising on the same radio stations as I did and they claimed that their method was a dry method. Maybe that's where he heard about a "dry method" . In my commercials I'm known for giving tips on how to clean things. I'd give about 3 cleaning tips per ad and never got into details about our method of cleaning the carpets. I wish he could give me more information but one thing is for certain, if we can not please a customer then they'd get their money back. Based on his side of the story, he definately had a justified complaint so he would have gotten his money back. I would love to get to the bottom of this and maybe he will see this response and call me . Just remember, even though Angie's list makes carpet cleaning automatically show up on our profile as a service that we provide, Daisy Home Services does not clean carpet and we never have. This complaint does sound serious and you can tell he is very unhappy and if he contacted Angie's list then I would think that he would have also contacted the other consumers complaint agency. I even called them to see if they had a record of a complaint. No, they didn't and they do go back more than 3 years. I have always had good ratings with consumers agencies, except with Angie's List .... ."

A POOR SERVICE .ALWAYS IN A HURRY TO LEAVE. SUPERFICIAL CLEANING WITH LITTLE CONCERN FOR ITEMS OF VALUE.A 300.00 PIECE OF ARTWORK WAS BROKEN WITH NO APOLOGY FROM THE WORKER. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, THE OWNER OF THE SERVICE DID NOT RETURN A CALL SEEKING COMMENT RE THE EVENT.THEHYH PRODUCE COLLATERAL DAMAGE MAKING THE EXPERIENCE VERY DISTASTEFUL

They came out with really good people the first time and then they fired those workers and their new workers did not do a good job. I had to call the company to report that the job was not done properly. They sent a supervisor out to inspect if the job was done poorly and on the next day they sent the same people out who did the job poorly the first time. It was a rather awkward experience.
Response from Downey's Daisy Home Services (TOLEDO METRO AREA)

"This is all true. I just wish I had known that she was uncomfortable at the thought of having the crew come back to do the job right, (as they should have done in the first place). The Customer never said a word about being uncomfortable. She was very nice. Also, I'm surprised that she didn't mention that after the crew recleaned the house, we called her and she was very pleased. The only other thing left out is that I felt it was only fair to refund some of the money she had paid to help make up for her inconvenience ."
