Description of Work: I want to say, now, that this company belongs on your Page of Happiness, SFInc, and Steve Ford, Jr., came to the rescue of a neighbor and myself the morning of July 4th. The evening of July 3rd, during a severe T-storm, a tree limb took out the power to my neighbor's, and my house. Not only were the lines down but the meters were damaged. My neighbor called SFI and early in the morning, July 4th,, Steve Jr arrived and got to work on the neighbor's meter and wiring. About two hours later he was ready to tackle mine. GLITCH. Mine is an old house and the meter was no longer up to Painesville's code. So, by now it's about 1:00, Steve had to begin the search for the newer meter to install. He'd begin the search and I'd see him Thursday (it was the 4th after all). Thursday morning Steve called,he had the meter, and was on his way. Replacing the old meter, and the wiring involved, was a complex job-and in 90 degree heat! About two hours later I was ready for the city to hook me up. He reported to them, and in about 45 minutes Painesville Power was there and ran the new line. I had my power back. Steve Sr. was on vacation so Steve Jr was carrying the work load. He is professional, friendly, and responsible. I can't praise him enough. I'll finish with a quote from one of the Painesville men hooking me up. He asked who had done the meter work and when I said SFInc, his comment was "Youve got a good one there."

Description of Work: Great job and very professional. Like all good businesses they are busy so takes a while to get the job started, but they complete and are very trustworthy. I will use them again. Steve electrician was great!!

 + -1 moreI was happy with him. They sent somebody out promptly and the guy who came out was nice. They have several electricians working for them and the one who came here found the problem and solved it. There was one issue. We had asked him to investigate one bulb and a fluorescent fixture on the ceiling of our kitchen which was not working. I wanted to find out if it needed a new bulb or if something was wrong with the ballast. He took the cover off and it was cracked. It was already cracked and he put it back up. He was doing something else in the kitchen and it just fell off and broke into smithereens. He found the source for another one but I will have to pay for it. I don't think that it was really his fault. I am not completely satisfied, but on the other hand, I don't know whether the guy had anything to do with the problem. I felt that their price was fair. They were fast and came right out. They said that they would come right out and they did. I have no complaints.
Description of Work: SFI Electrical Contractors found a problem with the electrical wiring in our house and fixed it. We have one room that had no power and he found that the problem was with an outlet in another room.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. Using Angie's List, we called Steve and discussed the project. He came on site and provided an estimate, and offered to work around our travel schedule. We accepted the estimate and work was completed with very little down time. This was a challenge since the wiring was so old. The workmen were careful, sensitive to the house decor, and creative. They discussed every aspect with us and completed the job on time and on estimate even though several "surprises" such as impenetrable beams surfaced during the job. Work was performed around our schedule, and cleanup was flawless. We give SFI our highest recommendation!
Description of Work: Updated 19th century feed and wiring to 21st century levels. Installed new panel, circuits and receptacles, and removed old ones.

 + -1 moreThey cam on time and went right to work to minimize the time the electric to the house was off since the temperature was hovering at 17 Deg F. They were courteous and professional. Great job. They cleaned up after the work was completed.
Description of Work: SFI upgraded my main breaker box by replacing it with a bigger panel to allow more spare room for future expansion. They replaced the 30 year old main service breaker and sub panel breakers. They installed the conduit, wiring, and breakers for a future heat pump addition to the house.
