I called this company because they advertised same day cleaning. They were able to do my job at the end of the day. The technician was friendly, did the job quickly and deodorized the room. My only critique of him was that he was wearing ragged shoe covers that had obviously been worn in and out of houses all day - there was no point in having them on. The stains in the carpet all looked like they were gone, but 2 days later, the stains worked back out of the bottom of the carpet. I called on Monday 10/8 (3 business days after the work was done) and spoke to a woman about their 3 day guarantee on stains and was told "someone from the warranty department would call me back". I called again on Thursday 10/11 and spoke to a man who said he would look into it and call me back. I called again on Thursday 10/18. I was told the person I needed to talk to would be in the office later that day. I called later and spoke with a man (I think the same person I spoke to the previous week) and he told me that they would come back out to work on the stains, but they would have to squeeze me in. Per his request, I gave him 3 days that I would be there between 10/20 and 10/25. No one ever called me back or came to treat the stains.

I had a massive stain on my childrens play rug. Bobby was not able to get it out with his carpet cleaning machine. BUT he took the time to take it outside and use another tool on it. He was able to get 95% of the stain out!! I cried I was so happy!!!

Everything went good! They called ahead, which other companies rarely do anymore, so I was very pleased with the courtesy call. We just got the keys to our new home to find the previous owners left us heavily stained carpets in the living room. The carpet was literally black. The worker from Restore-It went over the area several times and got a lot of the stains out. We knew it would be a miracle to remove all of the discoloration, but they still did a great job. It was our first time using them and I would definitely hire them again. They were clean, thorough, and well priced compared to most companies. We had 12 rooms done for $200. Would recommend!

Owners of 2 dogs, we asked them to clean our family room rug, carpeted stairs heading to 2nd floor and upstairs hall - -all very high traffic and in need of cleaning. Called in time frame, arrived as they said and pre-treated areas. Did a fine job. Dried fast. Will use again. 2 thumbs up!! Thanks, folks. Professional and kind gent, as well.

They walked through looked at all the carpet, pre treated, they moved furniture (they do offer traffic areas only). They placed plastic tabs under furniture feet. We had mentioned certain areas that looked really bad, and they got all of the stains out making it look great. Next time will use them for upholstery and carpet cleaning.

I just closed on a new home. I needed someone to clean the carpet before moving my things in. I contacted another carpet company but they were unable to come for a week and a half. Someone suggested this carpet company so I went online to schedule them to come out. They were able to make it out the next day. The staff on the phone and the young men who came out to clean the carpet, Bobby and Amos, were very professional and friendly. Bobby and Amos arrived when they were supposed to, paid great attention to detail, educated me on my carpet, and were very professional. I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them again.

He paid close attention to areas that were problematic and took the appropriate amount of time cleaning the carpet. I explained the carpet was newer, was a 60 ounce plush and he commented he could tell the quality from the pad. He explained to me that after the steam cleaning he could apply a deodorizer that would give the house a clean smell. I told him I was not particuraly fond of aromas of any type and he even poured some over his hand so I could experience it. It was strong but not overwhelming at that point. He soaked the one room that I had had an issue with a 7lb dog so I was excited about the outcome. Needless to say the aroma after the product was applied lasted for almost 3 weeks before dissipating. As soon as the deodorizer was gone the pet odor came roaring back. I might add that the dog in question has either been crated or worn some type of garment to keep this from happening again so I know it is not him soiling the carpet again.
I called the local number and was meet with resistance from the moment it started. He informed me I only had 3 days to let them know I was dissatisfied to which I replied you couldn't smell anything for weeks except the deodorizer. He informed me that was not the case at all and that basically I was just stuck. I don't appreciate being told I am lying and literally had to keep the windows open to allow the sweet smell to leave my home. He stated are you wanting us to come clean it for free? I told him that in this case it would be a nice thing for him to at least meet me half way with a re clean to which again I was told no. He said the odor was coming from the pad and that again sorry about your luck. I also offered to pull the carpet up in several places, take pictures of the pad to prove his assement of this situation is not correct. I said as a small business owner in this day of social media a good faith gesture goes along way as does a bad review. He said If I posted a bad review there would be legal ramifications so we'll see where this review leads to.
I hired this company because they promote themselves as Pet Odor Removal Specialists to which I say is not correct. I just think his attitude could have been a little more understanding and even though the customer is not always right it is important to make them feel as if they are.

This provider cleaned 5 areas of carpet, sunroom with ceramic tile and grout, deodorized.
We bought a house that we soon discovered contained evidence of a prior pet. Clearly the furniture and boxes were strategically placed to cover the stains whenever we were in the house. Although the windows were always open, I thought I detected a funky odor and questioned the realtor about it. The seller commented that she had the carpet cleaned, but didn't think they did a good job. I was hoping the odor was whatever carpet cleaning solution had been used. Nevertheless, I decided that one bedroom had some nasty carpet and opted to remove it and replace with hard surface flooring. It wasn't until the windows were closed for a few days that the odor resurfaced, and I really noticed it when we entered the home after being gone for a few hours.
We decided to have the carpet cleaned ourselves by another company before we moved our furniture in. He commented that there was a lot of "soap" residue, but he could also tell there was pet urine because as he went over certain areas the smell came up. I thought it still smelled funky after the cleaning, but was hoping it was kind of like a wet dog, i.e. it would smell better after it was dry. Nope.
We happened to receive a packet of coupons in the mail; Restore-It Carpet Cleaning had a coupon in the packet. The promise to eliminate pet odor caught my eye. Even though it had been just a couple of weeks since the last cleaning, I gave them a call.
Upon arrival to our home, they honored the coupon to clean 5 areas for $69.95. I took them up on their "no pressure" offer to add the ceramic tile (as there was obvious staining in the grout in many places). I also took them up on their equally "no pressure" offer to deodorize. At their suggestion, I turned a fan on and pointed it directly at a mystery stain that appeared after the first cleaning by the other company. I have to add that although they made suggestions, they were in response to my inquiries and I did not feel like they were adding suggestion after suggestion to run the bill up.
I had the cleaning done right before we departed on vacation. When we returned home from vacation, the magical stain had not resurfaced and for the first time since taking possession of our "new" home, I didn't wrinkle my nose in distaste upon entering the house.
I am faithful about having my carpet regularly cleaned and have done so regardless of where we have lived over the past 25 years, always using Stanley Steemer. Based on the lackluster reviews Stanley Steemer received in this area, we opted for a company with better reviews for our first cleaning. I think had it not been for the pet stain/odor issue, I would have been satisfied with the job they did.
Because Restore-It Carpet Cleaning took care of the stain and odor issues, they get top marks. I would definitely use this company again! Not only did they do a great job, they were very, very courteous. They listened to my concerns, made suggestions, did the job, and were in and out in no time. Again, I could not have been more pleased. This is one of the rare instances that I am glad I took a chance on a business reviewed in Angie's List.

The service was not done according to their stated website advertising and the followup customer service was rude and made no effort to try to resolve my issue. It was so bad I had to file a complaint with the BBB. The BBB did not side with the business based on “…they made no reasonable effort toward resolving the issues of the dispute”. And ruled the case as "disputed".
What happened briefly is that the service was preformed and then they just left, without ant further instruction. At first I thought they were going out to the truck for something. But they didn't return. My floor was still very wet. After it dried there was sealant over spray all over my floor on the surface of the tile. When I called the company they sent the tech back out the next day to wipe the floor clean.
It took about 2 days to be able to judge whether the grout was clean because I had to wait for the grout to completely dry. That is when I saw that the grout was not clean and honestly looked just like it did before I called them. I immediately called back Mr Smith and left a voice mail. (He later stated that he didn't get it). I called again on 3/5 to get this resolved and he said that the "cleaning was only cosmetic". I told him about the statements on the website that my tile would be "unbelievably clean" and would "restore the tile like new", to quote their website. My grout looked neither clean nor like new. I asked for my money back. He said no.
Angie's List members can judge for themselves by reading the Columbus BBB complaint/judgment instead of reading some lame “standard excuse” from the company, (which is how they will probably respond to this) and make up their own minds. I can't see how an Angie's List business would be so callous and unresolving.
This business did not live up to my Angie's List expectations.
The problem with the merchant's explanation below (which is a standard response based on other internet reviews) is that he never addressed the original issue. Their website had false and misleading wording on it to state that my tile would be "unbelievably clean" and would "restore the tile like new". Neither happened. It is not so much that they never showed me the statement that it would be cosmetic only before they started the work, or the fact that the BBB closed the complaint as "disputed" (which by the way also means that the case was not in their favor either) but the issue is false advertising. And the merchant never offered to make it right.
I have since revisited their website and they did remove the wording "restore the tile like new" which tells me that they knew the wording was misleading, albeit possibly inadvertently. But they did own up to the mistake of misleading a customer to think that they would restore their grout like new. To that I am happy with.
To any other Angie's List customers that would use this merchant be sure to use a credit card to pay for the service. That way if the same thing happens to you, you can just do a charge back.

Response from Restore It Carpet Cleaning
"We are sorry [member name removed] feels his tile wasn't as clean as he expected, he signed our work order that said Restore It Carpet cleaning services are cosmetic only and don't address pre-existing conditions. [member name removed] did have some over spray from the tile sealer which we went back and wiped off and he signed the work order a second time that he was satisfied with the work, only to call back long after work was completed demanding a full refund. He also stated at the bbb that he didn't want us to re-clean his tile he only wanted a full refund. The bbb has closed this complaint as disputed because [member name removed] isn't happy with their decision and would never close a case if they felt we were in the wrong for not refunding his money. We strive to get everything we clean as clean as possible, but we can only do so much."

I thought they were great. Very thorough, did a good job. I just remembered that I liked them. I like that they use - I don't know if all carpets places use steam, but rather than using the cleaning solution, they'd spray certain areas. They'd spray problem areas and then they use like steam to clean it up.

I decided to use this company after finding a coupon for cleaning carpets in several rooms. It was easy to schedule a day and time on their website. The technician arrived as scheduled and was extremely courteous. He did an excellent job and didn't take too long. I'd recommend this company to friends after this experience.

have been using this company in the last three years. Each time I feel that they are worse than the last job they finished. While this time, it becomes unacceptable. The technicans did the job really quick and left quite amount of chemical residues. Also they left a lot stains not cleaned. When I emailed the company about this issue, you can guess that I had never gotten it solved. I have to call another reputable company to re-do the cleaning.
Response from Restore It Carpet Cleaning
"We are sorry the member had a bad experience with our service, but his home was marked as heavily soiled and Restore It Carpet Cleaning cannot guarantee the results since the carpet was neglected. We cannot understand why he would continue to repeat his business if we didn't provide satisfactory work. We go above and beyond to satisfy our customers, but we cannot control pre-existing conditions. As carpet is continually neglected it becomes harder and harder to accomplish good results. Our response to this matter was slow because service was completed 5 months ago, we had to research his original work orders so that we may respond against these allegations accurately. Thanks Restore It Carpet Cleaning Customer Service"
