This was my cheapest bid, so I was hesitant at first. However, the bid provided the same services with better quality products than some other companies. I decided to sign with Barbera Home Improvement after seeing good reviews. I am happy I chose them. After one initial miscommunication which was rectified promptly, my job was finished quickly and professionally, and I am happy.

A Home Inspection identified some roof issues. John Barbera of Barbera Home Improvement responded to a voice message I left for him within 24 hours. John set a date (within 2 days) to come to my home, provided a free estimate of services after inspecting my roof. The written estimate was very detailed, and reasonable, A date was set within the same week for the work to be done. John and his associate did a fantastic job of everything on the estimate and in fact went beyond and included gutter cleaning at no extra charge to me. I have done business with Barbera in the past and would not hesitate to contact them in the future and highly recommend them.

HORRIBLE contractor. It is 2 months later and the owner finally "signed off" that the project is complete. It should have been a 3 maybe 4 day project. The work is sloppy, completely unprofessional as well as all interaction with the company. The company never came to check the work and just assumed it was complete. They left out all the tools and cutting materials a few nights overnight which prohibited me from getting in my garage. They left a mess of the place (including metal scraps all over my yard that I had to pick out by hand so my dog did not get injured). The caulking job they did looks like a 6 year old child completed it. They badly scratched and damaged the vinyl on my windows when then removed their first botched job. When I would call to discuss the project with the owner, John would seem angry that I was not satisfied. He said that one of his employees just had brain surgery or something to that effect in order to make me feel bad. Then, when trying to make the situation right, he let me know he wouldn't give a discount because "his mother is dying of cancer and he doesn't need this". I am completely in shock how many good ratings they have because they seem amaetur on all aspects that I have seen. I would never work with them again nor would I recommend to anyone.

I had damage to the aluminum siding on my garage from a raccoon and some additional siding work on the house that needed done. I called Barbera Home Improvement to get an estimate. I spoke to the receptionist who said someone would call me back. Within an hour John Barbera called me to say he was in the area and could stop at my house shortly. Five minutes later John was at my door. John fixed the damaged siding on the garage on the spot and did not charge me a thing. I did then get an estimate for the additional siding work on the house which was very reasonable so of course I hired John to come back and take care of the siding on the house. I was very impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism and quality of the work done on the garage and amazed that John would do this for free before we even discussed him doing any additional work for me. John just wanted to help. There should be more people like John in this world!

I was happy with the workmanship and the quality of the materials used. They have their own work crews and the two guys that worked here were good. I was happy with the overall work that they did and the overall care that they gave. I'll be calling them soon for more work. They came in well below other estimates. The windows were extremely well done and well made. The quality of the window installation was excellent.

The group was knowledgeable and efficient. Did roof in one day. A light fixture inside the house fell from ceiling because of all of the banging. Company took the price off of the final balance of the roof.

We got 10 different quotes from various roofing contractors for replacing our aging roof. The prices were all over the place. I enjoyed speaking with Ted, the salesperson, on the phone and he came out to look at the house when we were at work. He placed a folder in our mailbox with the quote along with sales materials and brochures. I contacted Ted about a month later after getting all the quotes and decided to go with Barbera for our project. It was only a week from signing the contract until the work was started. The crew that was here was simply amazing. The arrived early, worked very h****** a very hot day, and finished the job in one day. The cleanup was second to none. It was as if they were never here. The roof looks amazing. Make sure you go with the Atlas Pristine shingles and you will never worry about algea or black streaks on your roof again. Excellent job on all aspects. Will be recommending to everyone I know. A+

Installed the roof on the promised date. Finished as promised. Did an excellent job cleaning up. Took time prior to the bid to explain the roofing material and answered all questions. Was the lowest bid.

I first met with John in the winter to discuss some condensation issues I was having in my attic and discussed how this may be related to my roofing. Let's just say that after meeting with him, I felt completely at ease with his level of knowledge and expertise that I almost did not feel the need to obtain more roofing estimates.I did, however ,obtain other estimates and found that John was able to offer a comparable product at a more reasonable price. I thoroughly researched the product and John was available to answer any questions I had. He even came back out to my house twice to address my questions on a weekend! I was at work the day the roof work began, but my wife said the crew showed up promptly at 730 am. When we arrived home from work, we observed an army of guys working tirelessly, each with their own task to complete. The new roof was almost complete and it looked really nice. We left shortly after 5 pm and the crew was still working. We were both very impressed with how hard the men worked and how they respected our property. The cleanup was immaculate! I forgot to mention that John communicated with me throughout the day regarding the work being done via text and picture message. The soffits and gutters were replaced a few days later and the few small issues I had with those John quickly addressed. Overall, I would have to say this is the best customer service I have ever Recieved from a contractor. As I said previously, John went out of his way not once, but twice to meet with me on a weekend. Any questions or concerns I had prior to, during, or after the project were communicated directly to John via text message and answered within minutes regardless of the time of day. The whole project turned out beautiful and we are very pleased with the end result.

From start to finish -- just outstanding . So pleased with the level of professionalism and great communication. John has built a business based on personal integrity. You pick the superlative and it applies.

I left a note on the Barbera website since I couldn't reach anyone by phone or leave a voicemail and John called back that day... and came out that day! I was very impressed with how quickly he responded. He took pictures of what he inspected and did, what I feel, is a thorough inspection of the issues on our roof. He gave me the good, bad, and other in regards to the roof and attic spaces and suggestions. He didn't push and didn't do anything other than tell me the facts. He wrote up a fair proposal and pointed out other things that needed doing up there that his firm couldn't address and I was really impressed that he told me where his limits were and didn't give me the "we can do everything" that I've gotten with other contractors. John contacted me to let me know he'd be out on the 16th and that he would need access to the attic at some point during the day. I was here while the work was being done. It was John and one other guy. They power washed the algae off, did the repairs, and even remembered to add the gutter deflector in a corner that I had mentioned to John after he wrote up the proposal. They rinsed off siding while they were up there, too, which was a bonus. My roof looks like new! I'm thrilled to have issues related to the winter and the algae taken care of. No mess either... the pieces/parts of material that the team used (and that I saw on my lawn while "in process") were gone when they were gone. They also spayed debris off my front walk. I am likely going to stay with Barbera for roof and related work for the future. John's a standup guy and someone that I feel is trustworthy from word one.

John Barbera got back to me promptly to schedule the installation, taking into account my need for it to be done by a certain date. The workers were professional, cleaned up well. John was very accessible when I had questions.

Initial estimate was prompt and very friendly. Was scheduled within the week. Prompt on the day of. Work was does done quickly and the quality was great! Great clean up too!!

Even though I requested an estimate for a roof repair, I ended up needing a chimney liner. John was great. He assisted me with my problem even though he was not going to make a dime. Without his help and expertise I would still be looking to fix my roof and not the actual problem. He pointed me in the right direction and saved me money and a lot of wasted time.

Our roof is huge with many pitches and levels, including our 3-car attached garage so I was shocked initially at the estimate and even more shocked that the crew was able to do our tear-off and re-roof in a single day. They were very efficient and did an amazing job. Our job foreman was very detail-oriented and went above and beyond. And our sales rep, Ron, was awesome! What assets to the company! Overall I couldn't be more pleased...from the estimate to the finished product - WONDERFUL experience!

We were thrilled with the responsiveness, professionalism, expert knowledge, and thorough job done by John and team. As mentioned, John came out the same day we talked on the phone to diagnose a leak on our master bedroom ceiling. He knew immediately what was going on after looking in our attic, and explained it in a way I could understand. He was very detailed and specific - and his quote reflected that. Since we never had roof work done, we got a second opinion from another roofing company we found on Angie's list. Though we were very impressed with that company too, their diagnosis was less specific, and the cost was more for what was called a 'roof tune up'. Confident John was the right guy for the job - we asked him to come back to do the work and he did - the very next day in fact! He explained everything he saw on the roof in detail, and all the work they did (which was more than what was originally quoted - but no additional cost). He also mentioned our roof was in great shape and we should get at least 5 - and most likely 10 - more years from it. The other company that came out mentioned we should think about a new roof in about 3 years. John was knowledgeable, honest, thorough, fairly priced, and incredibly responsive. Though we don't expect we will need to hire a roofer again for several years - we know who we will recommend to all our friends and family who need a roofer. And when our roof does need done - or we see another issue - John can expect our call!

They were very organized. There were about six men who worked steady all day and completed the job. I liked the material they had for under the shingles. It was better than most companies had and appeared to be rain proof. They cleaned up after they were finished. I think they were one of the companies Barbara used. They recommended two companies and they were highly recommended. I am not sure of the relationship with Barbara but I am not sorry I used them. They gave a good warranty that would be passed on to a new owner if I sold my home. I was very pleased that the work would be done in one day. I am out of town now and could not access my records but I think this is a reliable report.

We had a very short time period with warm weather, i.e. it was above freezing, before sub-zero weather hit. John was able to schedule and execute the repair within that window. He provided pictures of the problem and how the problem was corrected. He also used marine caulk for the repair. My wife and I were very relieved to have addressed the problem on short notice. John is polite, prompt and provided a thorough inspection of the roof. I plan to have my roof treated to remove bacteria/algal growth by John this spring.

We contacted John via Angie's list message on Sunday afternoon. He called us that night. The next he came out on Monday and provided an estimate. By Tuesday end of day the new roof was on looking great. Excellent service and very professional team. Highly recommend Barbera Roofing.

Barbera Home Improvement = Peace of Mind. If you are looking for a contractor you can trust to for a new roof, gutters, siding, or repairs etc., look no further. I called Barbera's office late morning yesterday to look at our roof/gutter warming system improperly installed by another contractor who shall remain nameless) had plugged into an extension cord! and he called me right back and came out shortly thereafter, diagnosed and then completed all the work, installing the last piece of it in the dark, with headlights. He also took the time to explain to me the ins and outs of the roof/gutter warming system, which was greatly appreciated. Planning a new roof, gutters, siding? Call Barbera. That is all.

We met with four roof replacement companies and gave a list of specifications to all and got a bid in return. We chose Barbera because of their experience, their providing of recent checkable references in our community, along with professionalism of their representative. The tiles, ridge vents, fans, and skylight were replaced with the type we had discussed. in addition we chose the option to replace the gutter covers. The work was started onetime, completed in one day, and all the residue from the tearoom and installation were removed. the only question we had was on the skylight. A model different than what we had expected was installed; We reviewed the proposal and agreed the unit installed would be fine. This a a very professional organization with a highly skilled crew who provided a very good solution to our need for a new roof.

Could not be happier! My daughter purchased a foreclosed home that had been vacant for years. We called, before she closed on the house, to get an estimate for replacing the roof. John went out the next day and his estimate was significantly lower than any other estimate we received. During the closing process, the lender had issues with the state of the roof so John made another trip to the house for an estimate on the minimum repairs needed to certify the roof to secure financing. He exceeded our expectations in helping our daughter buy her first home. The roof was replaced within a week of her getting her keys even though we had an early snow storm. The work was completed in one day, the yard completed cleaned up and the roof looks amazing! My husband, who is a superintendent for a national general contractor and works with construction subcontractors on a daily basis, was extremely impressed with the work performed and the professionalism showed by John. We would definitely recommend Barbera Home Improvements!
