 + -1 moreI used Barbera in 2007 to repair a roof leak. They did a fine job. When I needed a new roof I called them and 3 other roofers. There's was the lowest bid. They completed the job in 1 day. I am very satisfied with their services and would hire them again. Jim Medling.

 + -1 moreWas very confidient in initial estimate and recommendation. They completed the work in one day, were efficient, cleaned up very well after work performed and were prompt. It fell apart after I questioned the ventilation that was installed/recommended (plans were changed 5 minutes before they started). After many emails, phone calls and texts asking me to sign off on the possilble void of the warranty if I insisted on having the original ventilation installed, I chose to work with my insurance company recommendations for another company to remedy the situation. The new company found other issues, which I am still currently trying to get resolved. Overall, I am not impressed with the overall outcome of the completed job and the total time and frustration for a simple fix.

 + -1 moreI had 5 companies come out and quote me for a new roof and soffit replacement. Barbera did not come in as the lowest nor the highest, but I was familiar with their work since they also did a complete tear-off for a friend of mine. They showed up at 8 in the morning and were gone by 7 that evening. The crew was very pleasant to talk to and they left my yard in better shape than when they got there. The soffits were done by a different crew on a different day while I was at work. Excellent job on both the roof and the soffits. I plan on replacing all my windows and will call Barbera Home Improvement for an estimate for sure.
Description of Work: 1972 split level house. Complete tear-off and new roof. Soffit replacement for entire house.

 + -1 moreThey were professional, but when I called back to talk about service levels, they were too busy to do anything. Their quote came in higher than others I received. He was here when he said he would be. The overall experience was excellent. I would not use this provider again only because they are a roofing company and I am not getting a roof right away.

 + 0 moreI had some estimates done and they were real reasonable. I thought that they were professional. I had to pay for the siding and had them put it on. They actually did my siding, shutters and gutters. I was very happy with them, they did a really nice job on my siding. They put new gutters and whole new siding, and got new shutters.

Our salesman Dan told us when the job is complete we accept Visa or Master card; I received the invoice and called to pay my bill and was told they will not accept payment over the phone and there is a service charge to use a credit card! They said it's IN THE FINE PRINT EVEN IFTHE SALESMAN DID NOT DISCLOSE IT! I talked to the owner John and he refered me to the contract but would split the service charge with me. Our salesman Dan called to deny he failed to disclose and we agreeed to disagree rather than continue a heated discussion. I paid the bill and half of the service charge. That being said the nine crew members did an outstanding job.
Description of Work: I asked for an estimate and they sent someone out to review the roof and leave a price. I contracted with this company for a roof sometime this spring when they can finish in one day. 3/27/2012- Crew arrived at 7am as promised and nine men laid tarps around the entire house. Started removing two layers of old shingle which they finished around 8:30am. They informed me about how many boards needed to be replaced and sent someone to pick up. Turned out they used 31 sheets of plywood. I thought the price per sheet was very high but it was stated on the contract ahead of time. At 49.95 per sheet times 31 sheets was more than I expected. The crew only took a lunch break and finished around 5:30pm. My roof is over 40 square and they did a fantastic job.Clean up was done and they took magnets over the grass and flower beds; when they left you would never know they were here.

 + -1 moreThey were great the first couple of times. They were very pleasant and came right away. The second time they gave me a discount as I'd called them pretty close to the prior visit. The third time they didn't get back to me so I was a little disappointed. I called them three times but did not have a quick response. When she did call she was polite and apologized as they were busy but I like a two day response.

 + 1 moreOur 30 year old roof was showing its age, so we got quotes from eight roofing companies. Barbera was in the middle of the price range. John Barbera was the most professional of all the sales persons that we spoke to. We felt very comfortable with his answers and advice. His team were polite, efficient and thorough in their work. Care was taken not to damage our plantings and the cleanup was done thoroughly. John himself did a final walk round to check on the cleanup. Some of the roof boards showed signs of a leak in the previous roof, having dried mold on them. They showed it to us and replaced those boards at a nominal cost. They could have roofed straight over the boards to save time and we would have been none the wiser, the leaks having occured before we purchased the house.
Description of Work: Tear off and replace the roof on a 1950's Cape Cod with attached garage.

Description of Work: The company had to rip off three layers with the first one being shale. They were very good about controlling the nails and roofing and shale from being all over the yard. They then put on a whole new roof and then put on all new gutters. Our house is very high with lots of gables but they seem to do a good job. They also removed a raccoon nest and repaired the roof so they could no longer get into our attic. We were very happy with the job they all did.

Description of Work: Barbera Roofing removed two layers of shingles from my house and garage and installed a shingle that I had selected based on several website recommendations. We encountered a delay of a couple of days due to rainy weather from our original start date. On the day of the installation,the installer's arrived on time and performed the work professionally. The foreman was quite good at keeping me updated on the progress of the job. There were three sheets of plywood that required replacement due to rot. The roofing company also installed a power vent unit, and three new small exhaust air vents. I also had an existing skylight that they install new flashing around. The last task that they performed was to remove and replace an existing roof- mounted retractable awning. The foreman oversaw the cleanup process and took me on an inspection of his work at the completion of the job. The roofing work for both the house and garage was completed in one day as the salesman had stated when we arranged the installation date. After the job was completed, I had a question regarding a few shingles not laying flat after the installation. The owner called me back promptly and said that when the sun heated up those shingles they wiould lie down. He stated it might take a week or two. The shingles in question have laid down as he described.
