They did it all in one day and it looks good.

Ted, the salesman, was very professional as well as extremely knowledgable about roofing. He answered all of our questions, gave us extensive materials to read, and did not pressure us to sign a contract. After getting several bids we decided to use Barbera and we were thoroughly satisfied. The workmen arrived on time, were very efficient, careful about covering landscaping so it would not be damaged, and everyone worked very hard the entire time. We were so impressed. The clean-up was well done. They did find two small areas that needed to have the underlying wood repaired and the added cost for that was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier with their work and would highly recommend them!

They showed up early worked all day and finished cleaned up. Did a great job! I was very satisfied.

Barbara was one of Three estimates I received to replace my roof. The salesman was polite and professional, pricing was on the low side. Meeting went well. I choose another company to do my work because of over all information and personality connections. I would recommend Barbara to ask for an estimate on a job. We just didn't click.

Everything was done exactly as the company representative stated.

Roof went on in one day and came back next day to do the gutters. Fair price and easy to deal with.

Barbera did an excellent job, their estimate was significantly lower than the two other estimates. They arrived at 7 a.m. and worked till almost 6 p.m. when they finished the entire job (which they promised would be done). We are very happy with the job they did and would highly recommend them. After they were finished reroofing the house they policed the area with magnets for any nails that might have dropped and picked up all the trash that had accumulated during the day. When they were finished cleaning up the areas was spotless.

They did a terrific job for me! I couldn't believe how quickly they took the old roof off, put the new roof on, and cleaned up after themselves.

John came out, saw the problem and assigned a crew to start immediately. John was present and worked himself throughout the whole job. Everything was professionally done. John had no problem with me watching and asking informative questions. I have recommended Barbera to several neighbors and friends and my colleagues know that I only recommend the best.

The price was reasonable but actually we had to have them back because they may have done longer than that, part of it blew off during a windstorms and they came back and fixed it free of charge. But it was their fault because they hadn't nailed whatever they had to nail down properly. The other thing negative I didn't realize until I got to my storage so I have these huge nails, I have to be careful when I go in there to get something, these huge nails are sticking through.

Salesman (Ron Wolfe) was extrement professional and knowledgable. Rate quote was competitive with other service providers.. Crew of at least 15 performed the work. Arrived at the house at 7:30 a.m. Job was completed by 2 p.m. Jobsite was kept clean and neat. Workers worked as a team to complete the job in a single day. Extremely pleased with this provider's sales, communication, employees, materials and workmanship. Would definitely recommend them to a friend.

I met with Mike initially. He came out to my house and explained what types of materials would be used. He spent quite a while explaining everything to me. The crew showed up on scheduled date, replaced roof. They got it done in one day because they had a large crew. They left my property clean and free of any nails or debris.

Called this morning and left a message. John returned the call promptly and had someone out here 10 minutes later. I have used John before for putting a roof on my house and last year he came out to clean my gutters. I would definitely call John again. He is one of the best contractors to work with.

I worked with Dan, for the sales/estimate. He had great communication skills, and didn't avoid phone calls, and always returned them timely if I had to leave a message. I was amazed at the speed of the crew, and efficiency. They all worked well and knew what to be doing and did it. They made very fast work and the new roof looks great! They had their own carpenter that showed up in a separate box truck to replace the old rusted metal chimney, so that made me feel better that they had more of a specialist deal with this. During the estimate, Dan had told me that the gutter crew "usually followed the roofers around, and would complete the gutters the next day". A few days passed, and still no gutters, but we got the bill in the mail(No downpayment needed), so I simply called Dan. He was shocked to hear that the gutters weren't completed, and simply apologized. He didn't try to make up any excuses, he made a phone call to find out what happened. He again apologized and said that we simply got passed over/forgotten. I understand that things happen, and it wasn't a big deal. The gutter crew was out first thing the next morning and completed the gutters within 1 1/2 hours! I chose BHI based on such high recommendations on Angies list and estimates. I did my research, and there are a lot of "Shady Roofers" out there. I scheduled 5 companies to come out for estimates, 3 of them showed up, and 1 tried to reschedule. BHI was the cheapest by nearly $3,000. I am usually very leary of contractors, and at no point did I feel that anyone at Barbera was trying to sneak something by me, or rip me off in any fashion. Communication is key in my opinion, and I was very impressed with Dans, he made the whole process that I was dreading to deal with, a successful/worry free project.

From start to finish, it all went very well. The sales rep, Mike D., came out and met with us a couple of times, answered all our questions, and when he couldn't answer them that day, he always got back to us promptly. The day of the service, they showed up on time, got to work, and actually finished in one day (we thought for sure it would take 2 days as we've had a roof replaced on a house we formerly owned and that took 2 days). They did an excellent job on cleaning up and my neighbors were also very impressed.

He is knowledgeable. He was highly rated on the list and that 's what drew me to him. He had no problem with me watching him do the work. He is very user friendly. He is personable. He has a great price. His mother answered the phone and she was knowledgeable and made sure John got out here.

I liked working with Bryan West the sales guy. The crew had it done in one day. They were very nice about everything, cleanup was great and they were efficient. They did a great job.

On 7-1-2013 I called Barbera Home Improvement to ask for an estimate on repair and replacement of my gutters. The person who answered the telephone said she would have someone call me as soon as possible. I never heard from them again. Why is this an "A rated" company when it doesn't even return a call offering new business?

Worklers showed up on time, tore off the old roofing shingles, identified sheathing replacement needs, installed new sheathing as needed, and installed new roof shingles. Workers took great care to treat my flowers and shrubs gently. They also did a very good job on clean-up. The roof preparation after stripping the old shingles was difficult because my house at one time had a slate roof, and when it was re-shingled previously it was not done properly. Barbera's crew did a very thorough job on preparation, etc.

Got an estimate from Ron Wolfe, their Senior Project Mgr, after seeing their ValPak ad and looking on Angie's List and seeing their Excellent rating. Best price by about $500. Had a bit of a scheduling issue but Ron handled that IMMEDIATLY. Ron also suggested a color we hadn't considered, and it looks great! The crew arrived at 8am and started tarping our flower beds, and by 8:30 they were tearing off the roof. The Crew leader was very nice and kept us informed about what was going on, and suggested we go with a dark brown drip edge, instead of white, which we agreed was a better look. Was a very hardworking crew, and they all worked together well. The Crew was finished by 4pm, and they went around and did cleanup, and put our patio furniture back into place. They all thanked us for the water and Gatorade we had in a cooler for them. When they left there was NO evidence they had ever been here, other than the beautiful new roof, a color which our neighbors commented was a perfect choice. We will be recommending Barbera Home Improvement!!!!

Everything about this whole experience was professional and first rate. After reading numerous positive reviews with respect to this contractor I called their offices. A secretary answered and in less than a 1/2 hour Mr. Barbera called back personally. He came the following day to assess the situation. This wasn't a huge job to begin with, but Mr. Barbera told me he could have the fan replaced and the roof piece fixed that very same day, which he did. Mr. Barbera's professionalism and conduct are beyond reproach.....just an all around stand-up guy. Sure I might have gotten a lower quote if I'd had the time to get 4 or 5 other contractors over, but his demeanor and approach were just so positive I had no qualms about giving him my business. He didn't try and sell me on more work (even though I know my roof is nearing the end of its lifespan), didn't pressure me in any way, shape or form. I cannot speak more highly about this contractor. And when the time comes for me to actually have the whole roof done....I know who I'm going to call! Thanks Angie's List....and thank you John Barbera Home Improvement.

They did the work ahead of schedule. There was a back porch that needed extensive repair and 18 boards on the roof needed to be replaced. All the work was finisned in one day. They were very professional and polite. Really great company to work with. I will use them again.
