Description of Work: Have used Marks several times. The reason for continued use is the quality of work, the price and dependability. The last time was an accident where we were moving a fireproof file down stairs. The movers lost their hold and away it went flying down the stairs.. It caused holes in both walls (on both sides). broken stairs, broken railing, a real mess. It is fixed so that you would never know there was any damage. Walls are smooth. replaced broken and cracked stairs, job well done.

Description of Work: First of all we had an estimate from another Angie's List recommended companies. He was twice as high as Kent Marks. We had cedar taken off our walls and drywalled those walls. He saved the cedar boards for my son who wanted them. The drywall walls are perfect. He also custom made our woodwork around our patio doors and front door. We change the front closet double folding doors to two beautiful doors and did the woodwork around them. (The first guy said the doors didn't come in that size and would cost twice as much.} He installed a difficult 5 hanging light fixture and switch where there was none. Also a ceiling light and fan with special light control switch. The cherry on this cake is our fireplace. He had to do it to have a woodburner to be installed in the exact space. This fireplace was an outdated brick and he CREATED the most beautiful slate fireplace from floor to ceiling. He took the 16" x 16" (maybe 18" can't remember) squares and cut them in different sizes and assembled them with colors - remember these are natural slate that you get in their natural colors - applied so artfully. We get so many compliments on this fireplace. He is a master! He has also done some repair work on our basement stairs. Whenever we need something done, We call on this company. Description of Work: I use Marks Building Company. He completely redid my family room. He tore the walls out and put new ones on. He put slate on my brick fire place. He came out last, during this spring.
