Chris O'Kelley

I signed an agreement with Chris at the end of February and paid a deposit. The work was supposed to be done in April weather permitting. We had a lot of rain in the Spring through June. I understood that the work couldn't be done until the yard dried out. I started leaving him messages mid July asking when he will start on my yard. Finally talked to him on August 14th. His excuse for not returning calls was that he got a new phone and didn't have my number. He said he would start the job on on Monday, August 19th. He didn't show up or call. I sent him a text. He said he would start the job on Tuesday. On Tuesday he pushed it out a few more days. Didn't hear from him. When I texted him at the end of the week asking why he took money if he didn't want to do the job, his excuse was that it rained for 3 months and he will refund my deposit. It's now mid October and he hasn't refunded my deposit. Every time I text him asking about the refund, he claims to have mailed it or says he will drop a check off. He's a liar and makes promises he doesn't keep. He also does business under the names: Cedar Falls Brick & Stone Inc Cedar Falls Paving Stones & Retaining Custom Brick & Stone LLC
