Until the last 2 years, my husband always got on the roof & cleaned out the gutters. But, we are getting older and decided to hire out the job. My husband saw they wanted to use our hoses to flush the gutters to and down the downspouts. He told them the gutter guards had to be removed. He was called away on another task. I paid them upon my return. With all the rain we had, the gutters were still overflowing. The husband got up on the roof and discovered the gutter guards and/or screws were either missing. The amount of leaves and tree debris looked like it had been composting for over 2 years. Astounding. So glad we paid $300 for gutter cleaning only to have the guys try to sell us a complete new set of gutters with an estimated price of between $3K - $4K. A hard pass with an absolutely not.
