Specialist Construction

Specialist Construction, Paul S****** Jr. was hired to put a new roof on a home I own in Lagrange, Ohio. They started and finished quickly, however after examination of the work it turned out to be shoddy workmanship. They were to replace any all rotted roof sheathing which is standard practice, but missed a very obvious section. In addition, the roof actually leaked over the master bathroom. I contacted the company, and after much back and forth and some not very professional text messages from Paul, they finally sent out their "foreman" to remove the shingles in the affected area, replace the sheathing and reshingle. The workmanship is below substandard. The shingles are not aligned correctly, and worse they are the wrong color. Why they did not use the shingles they removed is beyond me, but obviously they don't have the skill set needed to do so. I now have a brand new roof with a very ugly patch. During this back and forth process of trying to get them to fix the shoddy work, I asked many times for a copy of the warranty. None was ever delivered. I have another first hand example of this companies poor workmanship and business practices, but the above information should be enough persuade others to find a better roofing contractor.

At first it appeared he/they did a decent job, until the roof leaked over the master bathroom. We then removed the ceiling in the living room and kitchen to continue the remodel, to find they did not replace all the rotted sheathing, simple shingle of it. You can actually see the bottom of the shingle from the living room side.
