Dave’s work is nothing short of outstanding.... punctual, professional, meticulous, and clean. My large eat-in kitchen and two hallways were completed in just under a day and a half. When it comes time to have the other rooms in my house done, Off The Wall is the only company I’ll hire.

This is the third time we have had Dave out to do removal. He's great. He has never let us down. He has equipment for every contingency. He is punctual ( and he tells you ahead exactly when he'll be there and he is). He cleans up everyday which we really appreciate. We heartily recommend him to others.

Great. The owner came over to Shaker Heights from the West side to give an exact quote. Others quoted an hourly rate and estimated time. He left everything in good shape so that the painting could be completed with minimal preparation.

Results were excellent on five rooms that were properly sized when the paper was installed. Dave is very good at controlling water used to remove wallpaper glue. Very prompt and easy to work with.

This is the third time we have had Dave out to do removal for us.  We initially talked to him at a home improvement show, and we really liked him so we got the 1st job done, the 2nd, and the 3rd.  He's great.  He has never let us down.  He has equipment for every contingency.  He is punctual ( and he tells you ahead exactly when he'll be there and he is).  He cleans up everyday which we really appreciate.  He know what service is all about and does not leave the customer to guess.  We heartily recommend him to others.

He was always on time. He cleaned up every day, leaving the area tidy. He told us he needed four days; done in 3. Given the 109 year old home we live in, his work is amazing.

After receiving an estimate from another Angie's list vendor, my husband told me to call and cancel the appointment.
Very upset an Angies vendor saying this even though had a and quot;A and quot; rating.
Poor professionalism.

"The post fails to mention that they were getting several prices and I was told that during the conversation. I'd rather be up front and tell clients I do not work on price. My goal is to provide excellent service which has been demonstrated many times over. And yes, it is more costly up front but the end results in the grand scheme of things, the lack of damage because of some special techniques I have developed is more than made up for in wall repairs post removal. As I've stated many times before, unless service is provided and there is a problem then such posts like this should not be allowed. I will not allow Angie's list to be used as an extortion medium which I have seen too many times before. I will be forwarding this post to my attorney to see if there is possible grounds for legal action for post of this nature."

We are putting our house up for sale soon and were very concerned that these walls be as free from damage as possible so we could paint them. Dave did a great job. He's very knowledgeable, methodical and thorough. We selected him because he knows so much about removing wallpaper - which was demonstrated by the way he did the job. He's not the cheapest, but we believe he's the best.

"My referial was given in a response to a request to have the walls rewallpapred and not necessarly for painting. The bottom line, this potential client attempted to "play" my referal againt myself and attempted to do the same by playing me agaist him. I was openly asked if if could beat his pricing as he was asked to do so with mine. I found that action to be completely unacceptable and will not do business that way. Both of us are specialist in our fields and refer each other so to provide the highest quality of end product. That's why we refer each other. There are many levels of performance and quality of end results in both of our fields of expertise. If price is the only criteria, than one can always find a lesser price and/or short cuts can be taken in performing services and, in most cases, the final product will reflect this. The old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true in our services as in most other products and services one may purchase. I state in the website and printed materal, the goal is to provide the best possible results and will not sacrafice quality by taking short cuts. I've built a solid business and have many referials and repeat clients over the years because of this philosophy and will continue to do so. I survey my clients on a regular basis either verbally and/or in writing recieving outstanding remarks as to the overall experience and performance. I do not understand how there can be any validity in this report since no services were performed."

David was wonderful. He thoroughly protected the existing wallpaper and walls and floors before doing his removal of the damaged paper and the paper on the ceiling. The ceiling was not easy to do and required him to be in a very uncomfortable position throughout the work.
We needed to have the work performed very quickly so the plasterer could do his work. David agreed to come out on a Saturday to accommodate us.
I will definitely hire him again!

David came to quote and arrived to do the job on time. He also called a few days ahead to confirm, and the evening before. He is a very prompt, organized person.
Some of the walls had not been sized before papered, he never complained, just kept working until the job was completed. The areas he worked in were cleaned up before he left.
I would highly recommend him to remove wallper. And it was a pleasure having him in our home.

David had previously been sharp with me on the phone when I asked him if he could do the job for a whopping $200 less (master bedroom and bathroom and a smaller kitchen). David gave the doom and gloom approach about how difficult the paper might be to remove. I tried to tell David that I had been over the entire house twice removing this type of paper, it had been primed and sized, and he kept saying that he has to quote it high because of one job that took more time to complete. What a crock. Suddenly David became unavailable for over thirty days as if he was going to punish me or by suggesting that he is really in demand. I suppose David was trying to tell me that he did not want to work with me on price or scheduling. When I hung up the phone I thought this guy really is a hit and run artist on price. When he doesn't hit the home run then he gets rude. David was not a class act when it came down to the overall experience. (Approximate cost was $1200.)

Dave managed to remove the all the wallpaper with minimal wall damage and left the walls in good shape for the painter. He left the area spotless after each day's work.
