The entire crew was knowledgeable, helpful and detail oriented. They kept the area clean. They started the job earlier than estimated and finished as soon as the material availability allowed. Ian's guidance in choosing the correct material was greatly appreciated. Recommendations were made to get quality material without spending more than necessary. We were so impressed with their craftsmanship that we hired them to do additional work.

Ian was very easy to work with. He actually was able to start the project early. When there were any unseen issues, he was very good about explaining and suggesting solutions. He and his crew showed up each morning when scheduled and finished on the estimated date. I am extremely happy with the results. Ian tore out the old bathroom and installed all new cabinets, tub, surround, flooring and fixtures. His work is of high quality and i will use him again in the future.

I was impressed with Ian's professionalism from start to finish. He gave me an estimate for the work within a week of our initial meeting and was willing to work with us on ways to modify the price. They did a very good job and they are just nice people to work with! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was referred to Elegant Renovation by Number 1 Direct where we purchased our cabinets. Ian, the owner came to our first meeting on time and completely prepared. He presented a catalog of completed project for my inspections. He spent a considerable amount of time answering all of our questions and returned several times even before the project started. I own a historic home and felt strongly that the contractor needed to understand the challenges of such a home. I was assured that the company employees had good knowledge and experience in working on historic homes. I was given a detailed written quote of the requested service with a breakdown of price in each area. This prearranging decreased my stress level considerably. Ian, Don and Jim were timely, professional, and hard working once the project started. They never left our home without cleaning up daily. Ian and Don's cabinetry skills are incredible. They were very detailed and it was obvious that they take pride in their work. Same thing for the flooring and tile placement. Jim worked very diligently to take on the challenges of the electrical requirements, including placing a 220 line for a new heat pump, the recessed ceiling and island lighting, dimmer switches and the numerous outlets. Ian was always informative. He was very clear about the time-line for the project, even when there were delays. (waiting for cabinets and granite) He also informed us clearly when there was additional work or an extra charge. ( there was very little change from the cost on the original quote) Don's carpentry skills were awesome, particularly in dealing with blending old woodwork, paneling and molding with the new. Ian was meticulous regarding all of the work. He even met with the stone company regarding our specific needs. We couldn't ask for a better company in dealing with the stress of a full kitchen remodel and are happy to recommend Elegant Renovation!
