Dr Blaha is calm and very good with the animals but also important - she is very good with the human animals. She answers questions, discusses options and costs. She is willing to have the children watch the exams and is very kind and respectful of their questions.
Dr Blaha and her assistant have been here when two of our very old, very dear family member dogs needed to rest forever. Not only were they very compassionate and kind with the dogs and me but also they were especially compassionate with the children. In both cases, it was very sad but she handled it with great care and love.
She responds to phone messages promptly and has frequently called back sooner then expected - especially to address unusual situations, for example: We were on vacation, she called back very quickly when one of the dogs had a pointed encounter with a porcupine.

Dr Blaha came and worked with our terrier that had nipped at a person. She has a very good knowledge of animals and humans since she is a trained social worker and vet. She and Thorpe had a complete exam, and she followed with suggestions and ideas for training both dogs together and individually. So far, the behavior has not returned.
