Linda & Rays Sewing Machine Svc

Used service based on where a sewing teacher had gone for service. Both machines are at the house and no one can get a response from the owners.

On the 23rd of March I placed an online order for a Singer sewing machine part for my wife, a darning, quilitng and embroidery foot and payed with my credit card through PayPal. I immediately got an email acknowledgement thanking me for my order, but it contained no shipping information. After a reasonable amount of time, about a week, I had not received the item despite being only one state away. I called and they said it hadn't shipped yet, but they would ship it and I should receive it by the fifth of April. As of April 8th, I still had not received it. I followed up with a phone call and email and informed them I still had not received the item and asked for them to provide me with a shipping status. I recieved no response. I then sent a second email and said I wanted a refund. They still haven't responded. I contacted PayPal which refunded my money immediately! I checked the BBB after this ordeal and saw that they have an F rating for this company and many people have had the same problems that I had, over 26 complaints in the last year!. In my last email I sent him I told him that I just wanted some communication or I would go to the BBB and AL with my experience. He obviously did not care because he still hasn't responded. Buyer Beware! Please note, that as of April 11, I have escalated and reported this matter to the Ohio State Attorney General's Office, the Internet Crime Complaint Center Ic3 and have written to the Cleveland Plain Dealer and The Consumerist with the details of the above matter. As expected, I was contacted by this company in regards to them receiving the Better Business Bureau complaint. I was offered a similar lame excuse that they have offered other victims. I politley hung up saying I did not wish to speak with him or his company any more and informed (as required) the BBB of his contact with me. I also have contacted Singer Corporation directly and was told that while he was an authorized reseller of their parts, they were concerned with his BBB track record, and more importantly the mis-representation of their parts. The part he was offering was in fact not a Singer part! I can not over-emphasize the importance of checking Angies List, The BBB, and other consumer websites when you have a similar issue and by all means if you become a victim of any online, computer related scam or crime to contact the Ic3.
