They rebuilt my whole deck and fixed the hardware under our sunroom (previous owner used internal hardware on the outside, guess what..it started to fail, shocking). Yardman's was fantastic, work was done on time, on price, and very cleanly. Not sure what else you can ask for from a service provider! Also, called Jim again for repair on something else. They couldn't do it but gave me referral to someone who could. Five star service, five star work, great company and believe me, I have fired service providers mid job who were clearly not doing what they promised. Never a doubt in my mind about Yardman's

Working with Jim Yarmus is always a pleasure. He helped design the entertainment center and had me come out to his shop to see the progress and pick out the stain. Every piece of the 10 foot wide entertainment center was hand made and beautifully crafted.

It went extremely well. Jamie, Jim and their crew were top notch. Very nice people, dependable and terrific craftsmen.
They did the work like they were doing it for their own mothers. Great care and attention to detail.
Pretty fast, too. Large project with some rain days and they got it done in 3 weeks.
Always showed up on time and worked hard all day.
Jamie always took the time for our questions. We requested a few additional things and changes along the way and they were always willing to work with us.
Even after the job was done and the final check was written, I was not happy about the screen door on the Gazebo. Jim called me and offered to swap it out with a white vinyl door. After we talked he ordered the new door.
They clearly stand behind their work.
Very clean too. I may have found one screw on the ground across the three weeks.
Now that the work is done you can't even tell they were here except for the tremendous work left behind.
In a couple years we are doing a kitchen remodel. Jim is going to be the first person I call to quote the work.

Yardmans was a terrific choice for finishing our basement. Jim and his crew handled everything from the walls out. From permits to plumbing, they built our basement. Always timely and responsive and we were very impressed with the professionalism of Jim's crew. They kept their work areas tidy and were conscious of how they treated our home. I would strongly recommend working with Yardmans Home Improvement.

Recently, my wife and I were deciding whether to stay in our current home and do some upgrading, or look to move into a new house.  For years my wife and I wanted to finish our basement and upgrade some things in the kitchen, but just never made it a priority.  In the Spring of 2013, we decided to stay and upgrade, and start by refinishing our basement so our family could have a room for us all to be together and relax.   We interviewed several companies, and chose Yardman's...we are glad we did.  The owner, Jim, came to our home and sat with us to discuss what we wanted, not what he wanted to sell.  We reviewed our thoughts, and then went to the basement to look at what could be done.  Jim made several recommendations to enhance the space that we had never even thought of.  His recommendations not only made the space look better, a couple of them even saved us some money!  After discussing the estimates we received, we went with Yardman's.  This wasn't because they had the lowest price, they didn't, but because the services they were willing to provide as a part of the project far exceeded what others were offering to do.  Additionally, the items used such as fixtures, were NOT the cheapest he could use as a way to save money.  Everything used is good quality, and probably better quality than most of us would pick on our own.  An example of doing more was painting the finished basement as part of the service.  All others wanted us to hire this part of the project out.  While all the folks we received estimates from were professional, we felt a trust factor with Jim.
We met with the Project manager and Jim ahead of time.  They were on-time and very courteous.  We made sure we were all on the same page, and set a start date.  The crew showed up on-time and ready to go, and Yardman's got the necessary permits for the project.  They laid out their schedule and we were off and running.  The guys on this crew were all gentlemen, professional and respectful of my home, and to my family.  We asked that they communicate with us on any delays or issues, and they agreed to do so.  The best part about this...there were no delays!  They were at my house promptly each day, and when they left, they cleaned up daily and treated my house with respect.  There was never a need to clean up after them when we got home.  We spoke occasionally to stay in touch, but I just wanted to stay out of their way...let the professionals handle it!  When they were done with the project, which was a basement finishing with a drywall ceiling, painting, full-bath and the backsplash in our kitchen we couldn't believe how it looked.  The basement  has been a showcase room for us to have family and friends over and enjoy, and I finally have an occasional "Man Cave"!  While the kitchen backsplash was more to make my wife happy, all I can say about it is...WOW!  It never made a difference to me to have it done, but it looks so good, that I'm gald we did it.  My wife and I have already begun looking at other projects for in the future.  We will, without hesitation, make sure that we call Yardman's for the projects, and I would recommend them without reservation.

The sunroom was done very well, and it was done a while ago. But I felt I needed to post this to give another experience. I felt pressure to make a decision right away. The price was fair. It was the process that I felt was very unprofessional. They did not get a building permit. When i found out they had not gotten a building permit (I had to call the building inspector myself to see if there was a permit pulled - and it had not) they already put in the foudation of the deck/sunroom, which was not correct. They made it even with the room that was to be the door to the sunroom, which according to the plans there should have been two step down. This was corrected. When the plan was presented to the building inspector, the foundation for the sunroom was not acceptable to the code. It cost $3,000 more and when we agree to go half, he later tried to up my part of the the extra cost. They did a nice job, so I do not know why they would want to ruin their reputation, but I would not use them again.

They are excellent. I am surprised they haven't been reviewed here before. Jim comes out beforehand and goes through your needs in fine detail. His workers are fantastic young guys who have generally worked with him for years. They are professional, friendly, and efficient. Jim will tell you if there is something he cannot do, and helps draw up plans on his computer so you can visualize what something would look like basically.
Good quality work, and the price is fair.
Highly recommended.

THE COMPANY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND THE PUNCTUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THE WORKERS WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS GOOD AND WE ARE STILL GETTING COMPLEMENTS ON HOW NICE THAT HOUSE LOOKS.
